Oscilloscope Probe Kit
The probe is a passive low
- impedance attenuation probe.
It has been designed and calibrated for instruments with an input
Ω paralleled by 20pF.

However, it may be re-calibrated for instruments with an input capacitance
of 15pF to 40pF.
The probe incorporates a two-position (X1, X10) slide switch in the
compensating network and a cable length of 1.05 meters.

CAT II IEC measurement category II is for measurements performed on
circuits directly connected to low-voltage installation. Examples
are measurements on household appliances, portable tools, and
similar equipment.

The measurement category of a combination of a probe assembly
and accessories (an auxiliary to the measurement) is the lower of
the measurement categories of the probe assembly and

- Page 3 Before taking any measurements using a probe, first check the compensation of the Model 120102 probe and adjust it to match the channel inputs. Most oscilloscopes have a square wave reference signal available at a terminal on the front panel used to compensate the probe.
