    HD Series components are connected properly first time, every time. The PHD12BX includes all the features of the of the original wall-mount PHD12 - with the exception of the ten female “F-to-RCA” connectors.

    Figure 1 PHD12BX P P UNCHDOWN C C ONNECTORS The back of the PHD12BX features standard 110 punchdown connectors for all HD System wire runs (with the exception of speakers and coax). Wires do not need to be stripped prior to punchdown as the insulation will automatically be displaced, and each punchdown row will accept two 24 or 22 AWG solid conductor wires.

    The IRC3000 In-Wall IR Receiver can be connected to any of the zone punch- down connectors on PHD12BX’s circuit board. When combining an IR Receiver with a keypad in a zone (or when two IR Receivers are paralleled to a single zone), please refer to the section on connecting 2 keypads per zone on page 6.

    Z•025 S S PEAKER R R ELAY/SENSING M M ODULE When using Z•025 Speaker Relay/AB Sensing Modules in conjunction with Z•PADs, the VCO, +12V, and Relay connectors on the PHD12BX provide the necessary connections for the VC+ and VC- wires that enable Page and Doorbell override control.

    Volume Controls with Override. Simply punch down the VC+ and VC- wires coming from each volume control with override to the VC+ and VC- connector on the PHD12BX. Then connect the VCO Relay +12V and the Relay connec- tions as shown.

    Z•025s, volume controls with override, lighting, automatic doors, sprinkler sys- tems, etc. A dedicated punchdown connector is provided on the back of the PHD12BX for this purpose. The diagram below shows the connections to the PHD12BX’s RELAY punchdown connector.
