    9. Wiring Instructions wirinG requireMentS • This alarm should be installed on a CSA-Listed or recognized junction box. All connections should be made by a qualified electrician and all wiring used shall be in accordance with codes having jurisdiction in your area. The multiple station interconnect wiring to the alarms must be run in the same raceway or cable as the AC power wiring.
  • Page 14 • A maximum of 24 Kidde Safety devices may be interconnected in a multiple station arrangement. The interconnect system should not exceed the NFPA interconnect limit of 12 smoke alarms and/or 18 alarms total (smoke, CO, Smoke/ CO Combination, heat, etc.).

    The battery activation is a one-time feature. After activation, the battery cannot be note: turned off, and can only be discharged at the end of unit life. If the alarm is removed from the mounting plate, the backup battery will remain active. See Permanently Disable Alarm / Discharge Battery section.
