If you have any questions about your generator, please contact ELMAG. All data in these operating instructions refer to the standard version of the types listed in chapter 3. Generators equipped with additional options may contain different data. -
Page 4: Safety Regulations
• If you use gasoline with alcohol (gasohol), make sure that the octane rating is at least as high as specified by ELMAG. There are two types of gasohol: one type contains ethanol and the other methanol. Do not use gasohol that contains more than 10% ethanol. -

CE marking and sound adhesive These are examples of an ELMAG type adhesive and sound adhesive. You will find the type label with CE marking on every unit. You will only find the noise sticker if the unit complies with the European Noise Directive 2000/14/ EC. - Page 6 Petrol generators in the SEB series Instruction manual Do not smoke and avoid flames or sparks near the genset, fuel hose, fuel pump or other possible sources of spilled fuel or fuel vapors. Fuel is highly flammable and explosive. There is a risk of burns or other serious injuries if you add fuel.

INSTALLATION OF THE GENERATOR Consult your ELMAG dealer or ELMAG directly. The installation of power generators with combustion engines and/or indoor installation is only possible in compli- ance with special installation guidelines. Particular attention must be paid to the 100% correct discharge of exhaust gases. Otherwise there is a risk of suffocation! Attention must also be paid to the correct ventilation of the installation room and any fire protection regulations. -

11 MAINTENANCE 11.1 GENERATOR Periodic maintenance on the generator is not necessary. A visual inspection of the various generator parts is suf- ficient for every major maintenance of the genset. Also check the condition of the rotor bearing and the condition of the carbon brushes! The expected service life of the carbon brushes is +/- 1000 hours. -
