    4. Keep all liquids away from the heater. 5. Place your sauna on a level surface that will not flood. The saunas are very heavy so a solid foundation is recommended. Muskoka saunas are designed to be placed outside. 6. The sauna must be placed where there is never standing water, so building it directly over dirt or grass is not recommended.

    Installation and Assembly Procedure The graphic below shows an expanded view of the Sauna. The following pictures are used for your reference. Don’t worry if your sauna is slightly different from the pictures, just follow the steps. These instructions for installation and use are intended for the owner or the person in charge of the sauna, as well as for the electrician in charge of the electrical installation of the heater.

    Preparing for Installation Check whether the total number of packages is correct and whether the appearance of the package is intact. After removing the outer packaging, check whether the product components are complete and whether they are damaged. Sauna Installation 1.
  • Page 7 Using 2-1/2 inch screws, secure the center stave to the cradle. When finished laying out the bottom staves, line them up flush with each other. Secure the bottom staves to the cradle as shown.
  • Page 8 2. Install the Backwall Next, lay out the back wall staves, including the corner pieces. Grab your threaded rods. Thread the rods through. Secure both ends tightly with a washer and nut for each hole. Use vice grips or saw to safely snap the excess pieces off.
  • Page 9 Hint: Make sure the holes in the back staves line up with each other. With a friend’s help, lift the back wall and insert it into the grooves of the bottom. Hint: Make sure both sides stick out equally to confirm they are centered.
  • Page 10 3. Install the Front Wall Next take all the front wall staves and lay them out as shown. You should have 5 small staves between the corner and middle staves. With help from your friend, slide the glass window into place. Continue adding small staves on the other side of the glass window.
  • Page 11 Now slide in the glass door the same way as the glass window. For the other glass window, repeat the same process as before. Hint: Make sure the glass door is facing the correct way. The head of the pin in the door should be on top.
  • Page 12 Make sure the washer and nut are flush on both sides. Secure both ends tightly with a washer and nut for each hole. Use vice grips or saw to safely snap the excess pieces off. With your friend, lift the front wall and slide it into the bottom staves. Hint: Make sure both sides stick out equally to know you are centered.
  • Page 13 4. Install the Back Wall With your friend, lift the back wall and slide it into the bottom staves. Hint: Make sure both sides stick out equally to know you are centered. 5. Install the Sides and Roof Gather your wall staves on both sides of the sauna walls.
  • Page 14 Use any wall stave to place between the front and back walls for support. Follow the curvature of the bottom. Use the rubber mallet to help position the wall staves, and 2-1/2 inch screws to secure them.
  • Page 15 Continue securing each wall stave with screws as shown. Before finishing both walls, bring in all your bench pieces as it will be much easier now, as opposed to after both walls are up. Assemble your bench pieces as best you can without securing them. Continue installing the other side of the wall.
  • Page 16 Attach the canes to the top of the sauna using a step ladder. Use a rubber mallet to install the roof battens and secure all the planks with screws. Take the roof membrane and drape it over the sauna as shown. Using a staple gun, secure the roof membrane to the front and back of the sauna as shown.
  • Page 17 Secure the roofing membrane on both sides with more staples. Fold the membrane over, then staple it for best results. 6. Install the Trim Install the trim, starting with the front of the sauna. To keep the wood from splitting, pre-drill holes first as shown. Then you may secure the trim with screws.
  • Page 18 7. Install the Siding Now it's time to install your siding. You can use staples or small nails no longer than 1-1/2 inches. Start at the bottom with the top of a siding shingle flush against the groove of the wall stave.
  • Page 19 When you reach where the roof membrane sets, secure a shingle underneath it. This prevents water from getting between the siding and the wall staves. Use an x-acto knife to cut the excess roofing membrane. Continue installing the siding until you reach the top. Install the trim on the back of the sauna the same way as the front.
  • Page 20 8. Install the Bottom Bench and Backrest Using screws, secure the bench supports and the bench. Position the backrest support at your desired fixed height. 9. Install the Glass Door Outside, secure the glass door to the wall as shown. Repeat with the inside as shown.
  • Page 21 Install the outside door handle. Repeat process with the inside door handle. Place the towel hanger wherever it suits you. Lastly, install the shelf.

    Installing the HUUM Drop 7 Heater • Before installing the Heater confirm that the maximum amperage of the main circuit breaker is properly rated for the Heater. • When positioning the heater, ensure that there is a safe clearance between flammable materials and the external surfaces of the heater.

    Be sure to keep the sauna away from any moisture or weather elements due to the electrical components and the wood being untreated and unstained which can cause damage to your sauna. Like any outdoor structure, mold can develop as a result of moisture getting trapped inside the sauna.
