  • Page 2 We recommend using microSD cards that have been confirmed to operate with this recorder. Check this on the ZOOM website (zoomcorp.com/help/ p2). • Always turn the power off before inserting or removing a microSD card. • To remove a microSD card, push it further into the slot and then pull it out.
  • Page 3 When using batteries, follow these precautions to prevent malfunction or leakage. Do not use batteries if their covers are com- ing off or their exteriors are damaged. Do not use a mix of batteries of different types or made by different manufacturers. Do not use new and old batteries together.
  • Page 4 • The P2 can supply a maximum combined total of 700 mA current to the USB MIC 1 and 2 ports. Use a separate AC adapter, for example, to supply power to USB mics that consume large amounts of current. • See the ZOOM website (zoomcorp.com/help/p2) for information about USB mics that have been confirmed to work with this unit.
  • Page 5 Formatting microSD cards Always format microSD cards in order to maximize their performance after purchasing them new or using them with a different device. Adjust the volume. Connect headphones to the HEADPHONE 1 jack on the P2 to listen to the audio guide while conducting this operation.

  • Page 8 Adjusting the volume Adjust the mic input levels so that the orange indicators light only rarely when speaking loudly. • Disable mute functions on the USB mics. • The amount levels change when are turned depends on the USB mics.
  • Page 9 Adjusting the sound These mute the channels. This adjusts audio from USB mics so it sounds clearer and suitable for podcasts. This analyzes the surrounding noise to suppress its input through the USB mics. Be careful not to speak during the analysis (while the button blinks for 3 seconds).
