Regular Maintenance and Service
This device does not need regular service or maintenance during its expected
service life. These tips, however, will help keep your product in good condition:
 Transport your device in its protective pouch to keep it clean and dry.
 The Compact 10 HD battery can be indefinitely stored in a room where the
temperature is between -20°C to 60°C or -4°F to 140°F
 Before storing the device for a long time, the battery charge should be at
least 60% to 80%.
 For optimal battery life, Optelec recommends regularly checking the battery
capacity when the device is stored for longer periods and charging if the
battery capacity falls below 40%.
 Before charging, the device must be allowed to warm up to 0°C or higher
or charging will not start because of battery safety.
 If the battery capacity falls below 5%, the device takes longer to charge
than the normal 3.5 hours and the charge LED blinks until the device is
within normal charging levels when it becomes continuous.
 If the batteries are being charged while the device is in operation, the
amber LED may blink indicating the charging has paused because of the
thermal protection in the cells. Charging will resume when the device is
placed in a colder environment or switched off. The device can be used
normally while charging is paused.
