BODY AREAS: PEACH devices are suitable for use on body hair and female facial hair below the cheek line.

NO MODIFICATION OF THIS EQUIPMENT IS ALLOWED.

HOW DO PEACH™ DEVICES WORK?

PEACH devices are designed to help break the cycle of hair growth. Light energy is transferred through the skin's surface and is absorbed by melanin present in the hair shaft. The absorbed light energy is converted to heat energy (below the surface of the skin), which disables the hair follicle. Treated hairs naturally fall out over the course of a few days to 1-2 weeks. Hair growth is cyclical and follows 3 distinct and consecutive phases. IPL treatment is only effective when hairs are in a particular phase (the Anagen – growth phase). Not all hairs are in the same phase at any one time. This is why you should follow the recommended treatment regimen of 1 treatment every week, for 12 weeks.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Immediately post treatment, you should not see any significant side effects from treatment (Refer to section titled 'Side Effects' for more information on side effects).

In the first few weeks following the initial treatments, you will still see some hairs growing. These are likely to be hairs that were missed during treatment i.e. they were lying dormant and not in their growth phase (Anagen) during treatment; when IPL is most effective.

Around 6 weeks into the 12 week treatment program you should see a reduction in hair growth. However, many hairs may still not have been treated in their growth phase. It is important to continue the treatments every week. After the 12 week program, you should see a significant reduction in hairs within the treated area. Any remaining hairs should be finer and / or lighter in color. Continued monthly treatments, or treatments as required, should maintain the reduction in unwanted hair.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do NOT use the devices:

  • if your skin is darker than skin tone 5 shown on the skin tone chart above. Since dark skin absorbs more light energy, treating very dark skin may cause discomfort/pain and adverse effects (e.g., burns, blisters, discoloration or scarring) and injure your skin.
  • you are pregnant, lactating, or under the age of 18 as these devices have not been tested with these individuals.
  • you have a history of skin cancer or precancerous lesions (e.g., nevi or a large number of moles).
  • your skin has been artificially or naturally tanned recently, or is burned from sun overexposure. Your skin may be sensitive following sun exposure and particularly susceptible to side effects of IPL treatment (e.g., burn, blister, discoloration or scarring). Wait 1 week until sunburn or tan disappears before using the devices.
  • directly on the nipples, genitals or around the anus. These areas may have a darker skin color and/or greater hair density. Using the devices in these areas may cause discomfort/pain or injure (burn, discolor or scar) your skin.
  • on blisters, scars, dark brown or black spots such as birthmarks, moles or warts in the area you wish to treat. Or the devices may injure your skin or make existing conditions worse, and you may particularly susceptible to side effects of IPL treatment (e.g., burn, blister, discoloration or scarring)
  • if you have any skin condition in the treatment area, including psoriasis, vitiligo, eczema, acne, herpes simplex or active infections or wounds.

DO NOT expose treated areas to the sun. Wait at least 7 days after treatment before exposing treated skin to direct sunlight. Your skin may be extra sensitive following an IPL treatment and particularly susceptible to sunburn. Apply sunscreen (SPF 15 or greater) to the treated area or cover the treated area with suitable clothing.

If you are unsure whether these devices are safe for you to use, please consult your physician or dermatologist.

HOW TO USE

Follow each step in the treatment process ensuring you complete all aspects of each step before progressing to the next.

PREPARE THE TREATMENT AREA

Remove any visible hair on the skin before using the device. We recommend shaving body hair and dermaplaning facial hair, for optimal results. Make sure there is no hair remaining above the surface of the skin as this may cause injury. This also prevents debris from covering the front of your device. Clean the treatment area and pat it dry.

TURN ON THE DEVICE

Attach the relevant plug adapter to the power cable. Then use the power cable to connect the device to an electrical outlet. The device will turn on automatically. You can adjust to your preferred intensity level using the + and - buttons.

information NOTE: Levels 1 - 3 on your device are intended for sensitive areas and first time users. With reduced light intensity, more treatments may be required to see the desired effects. As long as the treatment feels comfortable, increase the setting by one level.

PATCH TEST

Before your first treatment on each new body area, we RECOMMEND you test your skin in that area for a reaction to the device. The patch test area should be approximately 3cm x 3cm in size (equivalent to 1 flash from PEACH). Perform the patch test as described below in the 'Treatment Methods' section, under 'Stamp Mode'. Wait 24 hours following the patch test, to ensure your skin is suitable for treatment and there is no adverse reaction to the light energy. If there is no reaction after 24 hours, you may treat the area around the patch test. The 'patch tested area' should NOT be re-treated for at least 1 week. If a skin reaction develops, discontinue using the device and consult your physician.

TREATMENT METHODS

The area to be treated must be hair-free, clean and dry. Before pushing the flash button, look away from the device to avoid the bright light. In rare cases, you may find the flash too bright. There is no safety risk associated with this. For increased comfort, we recommend treating in a well-lit room to help reduce the perceived brightness. However, if you find the light is still too bright, we recommend wearing sunglasses for extra eye protection. We also recommend wearing sunglasses for extra eye protection when using the device to remove hair on the face.

GLIDE MODE

For fast & efficient treatment of large areas - like the legs, arms, chest, back & stomach

  1. Place the treatment window firmly on your skin, and select your preferred intensity level.
  2. Press and hold the flash button. The device will begin to flash.
  3. Glide the device slowly and continuously from the bottom to the top of the treatment area. Make sure to always keep full skin contact so that the device flashes continuously.
  4. Once the gliding stroke is complete, lift the device off the treatment area.
  5. Repeat to treat the next adjacent area in a parallel glide, until you have completed the entire area you wish to treat.

STAMP MODE

For treating small or hard-to-reach areas - like the face, bikini line & underarms

  1. Place the treatment window firmly on your skin, and select your preferred intensity level.
  2. Press and instantly release the flash button. The device will emit a flash.
  3. Lift the device off the skin, and place it onto the next adjacent spot to be treated.
  4. Continue treatment spot by spot, until you have completed the entire area you wish to treat.

information NOTE:

  • The silicone shield on your PEACH device must be in full contact with your skin.
  • For a PEACH device to work effectively, you must use it evenly all over your skin, without missing any spots. Make sure you avoid missed areas by placing the treatment window directly next to the previously treated spot, without leaving any space between treated areas. However, make sure that you do not flash the same area more than once. This does not improve the effectiveness of the treatment, and can instead increase the risk of skin reactions.
  • PEACH devices are designed to be powerful, for maximum results. When used for an extended period of time, your device may temporarily pause to cool down and prevent overheating, as a safety feature. If this occurs, the indicator lights will blink, and the flash button will become inactive. In this case, simply wait a few minutes for the device to cool down, then resume your treatment. Additionally, your device may automatically adjust the flash speed to be slower, allowing it to maintain a comfortable temperature and consistent performance throughout the remainder of your session.
  • If you feel intense pain, stop treatment immediately and consult your physician before using the device again.

YOUR PEACH TREATMENT SCHEDULE

For optimal results, the device should be used once every week for 12 weeks to ensure all hair follicles are treated.

After the initial treatment phase (once every week for 12 weeks), to maintain results we recommend using the device once a month, or as required.

Always wait 7 days before treating the same area again

  • Treat yourself within 3 days of the planned treatment date. If you have not treated yourself within 3 days after the planned treatment date, restart the initial phase.

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE, STORAGE

After treatment, always switch off the device by unplugging the power supply from the device and the electrical outlet.

After each use, the treatment window should be thoroughly wiped with a slightly damp, lint free cloth. It is particularly important to keep the front of the device and skin cooling ducts free from dirt, hair or other debris to ensure maximum performance.

The treatment window can get hot during use. DO NOT touch or clean the treatment window for at least 5 minutes after use to allow it to cool down.

information NOTE:

  • Never use cleaning products containing alcohol, petrol or acetone, as they may irritate the skin and damage the silicone.
  • Be careful to avoid getting water in any openings in the device, including the skin cooling ducts.
