Patch Plugs
Cut cable to desired length.

Strip back cable jacket a
minimum of 50mm (2 in.) using the
Siemon AllPrep
™
tool
(P/N: CPT-RGTP) or equivalent.
Insert each wire into the

appropriate channel in the
cover, maintaining twists as close as
possible, 13mm (0.5 in.) or less, to
point of termination.

Using the Siemon diagonal cutters (P/N: CI-CUTTER), electrician's

scissors (P/N: CI-SCISSORS) or equivalent, trim wire ends flush with
front of housing cover. Wire tips should not protrude past the front surface
of the housing cover.
Note: A fairly flush cut is important to prevent interference in step 7. Angle the cutting
blade along the same angle as the front of the housing cover when trimming.

Align the end of the cable jacket over the first rib in the cover as

shown. Jacket end should extend just beyond cable tie point*.
Lace cable tie through cover to secure cable, making sure tie latch is
positioned on either side of cable, trim cable tie flush to tie latch.
Do not over tighten cable tie.
*The S110P1 does not have a cable tie point. To ensure proper strain relief, extend the
cable jacket further into the plug. For unjacketed 1-pair cable, tubing (provided) should be
used for proper strain relief.

Align latches on cover with

fit cover IDC slots over contact IDCs.
