If the equipment is damaged, file a claim with the carrier and forward a copy to Precision Fil- ters. Precision Filters will notify you of the disposition of the equipment and will arrange for repair or replacement without waiting for a settlement of the claim against the carrier. Retain the shipping container and packing material for the carrier’s inspection or for reuse.

PC Host Computer Connection To control the Model SCB-16FA system, you need a PC host computer with a Windows 7 or higher operating system installed. The Graphical User Interface (GUI) control program is included with the system. Option F provides NIST traceable verification software.
  • Page 16: Ethernet Connection Configurations

Configurations are described in the sections that follow. Direct Connection A direct connection between a PC host computer and a single Model SCB-16FA system is reliable and the simplest configuration. In this configuration, only one system is connected to the PC host computer. See Figure 2.

  • Page 18: Dual Corporate Network Connection (Recommended)

Page 10 Dual Corporate Network Connection (Recommended) The dual corporate network connection is recommended because the Model SCB-16FA systems and test subsystem equipment are connected to the PC host computer by a separate Ethernet connection. Because the systems and test equipment are not connected directly to the corporate Ethernet network, they are separated from networked equipment that can cause high data traffic across the network and unexpected interruption of an ongoing test.

2.7.1 Input and Output Connections The Model SCB-16FA has 16 input BNC connectors labeled 0 through 15 on the lower row of BNC connectors and 16 output BNC connectors labeled 0 through 15 on the upper row of BNC connectors. Figure 6 shows the location of the input and output connectors.

The Power In connector (Figure 9) is located on the right side of the unit’s front panel. The Model SCB-16FA requires input power of 10.8–30 VDC @ 50 W maximum, applied at the front panel Power In connector. Additional mating power entry connectors (PFI Part number A12486G2) and external AC/DC power supplies (PFI Part number B11332G3) are available.
