To start a fire place rolled up newspaper with some lighter cubes or solid firelighters on the charcoal plate in the base of the Kamado. Then place 1 or 2 handfuls of lump charcoal over the top of the newspaper.

Page 5 Assembly instructions STEP 5 - When the grill is securely placed on the stand add the firebox (7), charcoal plate (6), and cooking grill (5) inside of the Kamado Devil as displayed in the assembly diagram.
Page 6 Assembly instructions STEP 6 - To attach the handle (9) to the lid of the Kamado Devil(8), start by aligning the bolt holes of the handle to pre-installed bolts on the lid. Secure the handle (9) with the 4x pre-attached dome headed nuts(B).
