OPERATION FRICTION CLUTCH The built-in friction clutch protects the operator, machine, and bit from damage during sudden or high-force overloads. If the clutch engages during work, allow it to operate in the disengaged (slipping) state for no more than 3–4 seconds. Prolonged slipping can cause the clutch temperature to rise quickly, leading to excessive friction plate wear.
