  • Page 2 Solus Care and Maintenance Guide Congratulations on the purchase of your Solus Fire Feature. As with any other appliance, you must take good care of your outdoor fire pit to ensure longevity and reliable performance. Following this Care and Maintenance Guide will also ensure that your warranty will be in effect in the unlikely event that it should be required.

  • Page 9 Beeswax referenced below Firetable, Halo, Elevated Halo, Concrete Ring (Hemi) It is important to note that the above method (under Hemi, Firecube… etc.) should not be used on any of our firepits that have a tabletop surface (including the concrete ring which is an additional option for the Hemi above) We highly recommend using placemats or coasters on any Solus table surface.
  • Page 10 If you live in a high-humidity area, you may notice that your cover may become covered with moss. Solus covers can be put in the washing machine with a non-bleach laundry detergent.   • Page 11 HARDWOOD TABLETOPS If you have one of our beautiful hardwood tabletops as pictured above, teak oil, Swedish oil, or other oils used for hardwood will revitalize it. These can be purchased at any hardware store in your area. Care: It is important to apply oil to your hardwood tabletop away from your firepit. Concrete is very porous and absorptive by nature so make sure that the oil does not come in contact with the concrete.
  • Page 12  This metal ring is produced from a high-grade aluminum alloy with stainless steel screws. All parts are corrosion free and can be left outside along with your Hemi firepit.  The aluminum has been hard anodized to help resist scratching, but it still may be susceptible to damage from small sharp objects or abrasive items being dragged across the surface.
  • Page 13 Our fire stones are made exclusively for Solus, by hand in Canada. Please note that our fire stones are available for purchase with a Solus Fire pit or to clients who already own one. If you feel, during the installation of your firepit, that you would like the look of more firestones, please contact us directly.
  • Page 14: Tank Table

    The tank table makes an attractive end table in your seating area. Care: Please refer to Solus Fire Features / Care and Maintenance on page 9 of 9 under “General Maintenance of the concrete vessel”. For the tabletop portion of the tank table, please make sure to follow the care guide for firepits that have tabletop surfaces.
