• Heed all warnings.
• Do not use this apparatus near water.
• Clean only with dry cloth.
• Do not block any ventilation openings.
• Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, or
other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
• Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or
grounding-type plug.
• Use only when installed in a 19 inch rack. When a portable rack
is used, use caution when moving the rack to avoid
injury from the rack tipping over.
• Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is
required when the equipment has been damaged in any way, such
as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled
into the equipment, the equipment has been exposed to rain or
moisture, does not operate normally,
or has been dropped.
Before Installation
Before installing Model PRM power distribution equipment please
read the following important information:
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not install
apparatus where it will be exposed to rain or moisture.
WARNING: Apparatus shall be connected to a mains socket outlet
with a protective grounding connection.
WARNING: To prevent injury, the apparatus must be securely
attached to the rack.

• The disconnect device (supply plug) shall remain readily operable.
• The device must be mounted and used in a 19 inch rack
system to prevent accidental operation of circuit breakers.
One means of accomplishing this is to recess the mounting rails
securing the apparatus into the rack system so that the
apparatus is protected by the sides, top, and bottom of the
rack system from accidental operation of its circuit breakers.
• The apparatus must be mounted in a rack system of suitable size
and weight capacity.
• All equipment using circuit breakers generate heat. The rack sys-
tem housing the apparatus must provide suitable ventilation for all
of the apparatus installed within it, and the choice of equipment
and arrangement within a rack system housing the apparatus
must permit suitable ventilation.
