Introduction
a. Intended audience and purpose of this manual
This manual is intended for all people involved in handling and transportation of good by means of
LongTainer cradles. The manual will take you through the entire handling process.
b. Safety precautions
Protective gear: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves,
safety vest; helmet and eye protection.
Secure environment: Ensure the loading area is free of obstructions, spills or loose materials.
Lifting techniques: Use correct lifting techniques or machinery to avoid dangerous situations.
Only the designated lifting points can be used.
Inspect the trailer: Ensure the trailer and securement equipment are in good condition.
Check trailer capacity: Confirm that the trailer capacity has the necessary weight capacity for the load.
Weight limits: Follow the weight guidelines listed in this manual and on the identification sticker on
the product, example:
Balance the load: Distribute the load evenly across the trailer to prevent tipping or uneven weight
distribution.
Stacking safety: Adhere to below recommended stack heights for safe handling and transport.
Underground: Make sure the ground is clean so that no pebbles or other materials get stuck in the
longtainer feet.

    The Longtainer may not be used without applying anti-slip material between the loading floor and the Longtainer. The minimum thickness of the anti-slip material used is 6 mm and has a friction coefficient of at least 0.6 µ. Another option is a fully anti-slip coated loading floor.
