The safety alert symbol ( ) is used with a signal word (DANGER, CAUTION, WARNING), a pictorial and a safety message to alert you to hazards.
  • Page 5 SAFETY OVERVIEW • NEVER operate the generator in an explosive atmosphere, near combustible materials or where ventilation is not sufficient to carry away exhaust fumes. Exhaust fumes can cause serious injury or death. • If you start to feel sick, dizzy, or weak while using a generator, get to fresh air RIGHT AWAY.
  • Page 6 SAFETY OVERVIEW This product has been designed with internal grounding or floating bonded neutral. If it should malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. DANGER - Improper grounding can result in a risk of electrocution. Check with a qualified electrician for your local requirements if you are in doubt as to whether the unit is properly grounded.
  • Page 7 SAFETY OVERVIEW • Do not operate in rain, in wet or damp conditions, or with wet hands. The operator may suffer severe electric shock if the generator is wet due to rain or snow. If wet, wipe and dry it well before starting. Do not pour water directly over the generator, nor wash it with water.

    COMPONENT LIST 1: Fuel Tank Cap - Provides access to the fuel tank for refueling purposes. 2: Retractable Handle - Allows the user to easily transport the unit. 3: Right Side Outer Cover 4: Control Panel - Allows the user to access the controls for the unit. 5: Engine Vents - Helps move airflow into the unit and regulate engine temperatures.

    CONTROL PANEL - GI7500iD SYSTEM BONDED TO FRAME SYSTÈME LIÉ AU CADRE 1: 120V AC 20A 5-20R Outlet: This outlet can carry up to 20 amps. 2: 8A 12V DC Outlet 3: Reset Switch - If the inverter is overloaded, the reset breaker will trip. The engine will continue to run, but there will be no electrical output from the unit.

    DISPLAY FUNCTION 1: OVERLOAD- A red light indicates the machine is overloaded. 2: OUTPUT- Indicates the inverter is ready to be used. 3: LOW OIL - A red light indicates you do not have enough oil in your machine. 4: POWER OUTPUT - Output power percentage display. 5: GASOLINE FUEL METER - Displays the fuel level.

    OUTLET FUNCTION IF THE VOLTAGE SWITCH IS SET TO 120V ONLY Set the voltage switch to “120V ONLY” Output voltage 120V current 20A. 120V (Voltage) X 20A (Current)= 2400W (Output Power) Output voltage can only be 120V and the current can only be 30A. 120V (Voltage) X 30A (Current)= 3600W (Output Power) attention: The total power output of the socket must not exceed the rated power of the generator.

    PRE-OPERATION SAFETY & INSPECTION PROCEDURES REFUELING: DANGER - GASOLINE IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE AND TOXIC. DO NOT OVERFILL THE FUEL TANK. TIGHTEN FUEL CAP ONCE YOU HAVE REFILLED THE MACHINE. Remove the fuel tank cap and add at least 87 octane gasoline. ATTENTION - IF YOU SPILL FUEL WHILE REFILLING THE UNIT, BE SURE TO WIPE UP AND EXCESS FUEL THAT MAY HAVE SPILLED.

    CHOOSING A FUEL TYPE GASOLINE START-UP PROCEDURE 1. Switch the fuel source switch to “gasoline” 2. Fill the unit with at least 87 octane gasoline. LIQUID PROPANE START-UP PROCEDURE 1. Connect the LPG hose to your propane tank. 2. Attach the LPG hose to the LPG inlet. 3.

    OPERATION OPTIMAL ENVIRONMENT AMBIENT TEMPERATURE -20ºC to 35ºC OPTIMAL HUMIDITY Below 95% Below 1,500m (At regions above 1,000m the unit OPTIMAL ALTITUDE will generate less power) In certain environments, total output power can be affected. • Every 5ºC increase in ambient temperature above optimal will reduce your units output by ~2%.

    OPERATION BEFORE CONNECTING POWER • Make sure all electrical equipment, including wires and plugs, are in good condition before connecting to the generator. • Make sure all loads driven by the generator are within the rated load range. • Ensure the connected load is within the rated range for current. ATTENTION: IT IS RECOMMENDED TO GROUND YOUR GENERATOR BEFORE EACH USE.

    BATTERY CHARGING The lifespan of a battery in storage is about 6 months. If your generator isn’t used for a long time, the battery will lose charge. If the battery loses charge, you can attempt to recharge it. If charging the battery does not work, you must replace the battery.

    SPARK PLUG REPLACEMENT WARNING: ALWAYS SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE BEFORE PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE. IN ORDER TO PREVENT THE ENGINE FROM STARTING, REMOVE THE SPARK PLUG CAP FROM THE SPARK PLUG. The spark plug is an important part of the generator, which must be inspected regularly.

    OIL SERVICE CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT The carburetor is an important component of the engine. If the carburetor needs to be serviced, contact your service center to have a professional ensure that necessary adjustments are done correctly.     AIR FILTER SERVICE FUEL FILTER CLEANING 1. Remove the fuel tank cap and fuel filter screen. 2. Clean the filter screen with gasoline. 3. Wipe the filter screen dry and place back into tank. 4. Reassemble the fuel tank cap. AIR FILTER CLEANING The air filter can get dirty after prolonged use and needs to be cleaned or replaced regularly.
