HOW TO AVOID ACCIDENTAL PROPERTY DAMAGE Crystal Quest Point-of-Entry Water Filters use the latest technologies available to ensure and prevent water rupture. However, if manufacturing guidelines are not followed, water damage can occur. Causes of flooding include excessive water pressure, spikes in water pressure, human tampering, and negligent installation.

TYPICAL INSTALLATIONS AND SYSTEM LOCATIONS (WITH BACKWASH OR REGENERATION FEATURES) The system needs to be installed by a licensed plumber in any state or country. Specifically, the following states require a licensed plumber OR allow a state-registered installer or contractor to install your water filter system: AR, CA, GA, KS, MA, MI, MN, OK, RI, SC, SD, TX, VT, and WI.

VACUUM BREAKER When gas escapes from the system, the gas will climb up the pipe and eventually collect at the highest point of the system. The automatic exhaust valve is generally installed at the highest point of the system. When gas enters the exhaust valve, as the gas in the valve increases, the pressure rises.
CONNECTING WATER FILTER SYSTEM TO WATER SUPPLY MECHANICAL/AUTOMATIC • Turn off the main water shutoff valve. MINIMUM MATERIALS NEEDED • Open all plumbing fixtures in the house including all outside • 1” or 1.5” male thread adapters to plumb the system faucets in order to drain the lines of all water.
