Power On/Off

warning ATTENTION!
Not suitable for children under 3 years old, can be dangerous because of small pieces that can come loose and/or small parts that can be swallowed - choking hazard.

Turn Ozobot on or off with one short push of a button.

warning Please note: the Bit+ battery must first be switched on by turning the black switch. Put it switch off after use.

Calibrate on paper

Calibrate the Ozobot before each use, or when it changes surface or environment. Sign a completely black dot of approximately 2.5 cm holds the Ozobot for 2 seconds and sets it on the dot. Ozobot drives slightly forward and blinks green. Start flashing again with red.

Digital calibration

If you use Ozobot on a screen, you need to calibrate it on the screen. Hold the button for 2 sec. pressed until Ozobot flashes white. Hold Ozobot against the dot. Ozobot will flash white. Is Ozobot flashing green? Calibration was successful. Is Ozobot flashing red? Start over.

Charging Ozobot

Charge Ozobot with the included USB cable as soon as the light starts flashing red. When the Ozobot gives green light, it is fully charged.

Clean your Ozobot

warning Attention! Do not clean with water and / or soap. In take a clean white sheet of paper instead. Move now Ozobot's wheels on the paper and drive softly and back on the paper.
The wheels are clean again.

Following the lines

Draw a black line (about half an inch wide) on white paper.
Turn on Ozobot by pressing the button on the side. Place Ozobot on the line and the robot will follow the line.

Frequently asked questions

From what age is Ozobot suitable?
Ozobot is not suitable for children under 3 years old. When Ozobot is used by children under the age of 8, we recommend that it is always directly and actively supervised by an adult or older student.

Is Ozobot water resistant?
Ozobot is not water resistant. Ozobot should not be put in the mouth or in liquid ingredients. Ozobot is an electronic product and is not resistant to moisture.

How do I clean Ozobot?
Because Ozobot is quite small, a little dust or grease can already cause problems in the drive. To clean Ozobot's wheels again, gently move it back and forth on a clean sheet of paper, without turning it on. You can also use a small brush to remove any dust.

Ozobot deviates, now what?
A little dust or grease can already cause problems in the drive, causing Ozobot to deviate from lines or have difficulty driving. Take a clean sheet of paper and place Ozobot's wheels on the paper. Gently drive back and forth on the paper. Done!

warning Note:
Cleaning with soap and water may harm Ozobot.
