ADJUSTING YOUR BOW TO FACTORY SETTINGS
Hoyt measures bowstrings using the ATA (Archery Trade Association) standard
Method. To verify that the factory specifications (cam orientation, draw length,
draw weight, brace height, axle-to-axle, etc.) are correct, measure the strings
and cables at 100 lbs tension on 1/4" pins. Using a proper bowpress, remove
the string and cables (this should only be done by a Genuine Hoyt Retailer).
Measure the string and cables and add or remove twists to obtain the proper
length.
Note: See Cam Synchronizing below for any synchronization adjust-
ments once strings and cables have been re-installed.
SCTR CAM LET-OFF AND WALL ADJUSTMENT
SCTR cams feature a "Mod Foot" that allows for let-off to be adjusted to approx-
imately 65, 70 or 75% of draw weight. To do this, use a T15 Torx Wrench to remove
the screw from the mod foot and locate the foot in the specified position on
the cam.
Note: Both top and bottom mod feet must be in the same location.
Both mod feet must be installed. Do not draw the bow without meeting
this conditions.
CAM SYNCHRONIZING
The Hoyt SCTR cam system requires very little maintenance. Once the shooting
string, the two power cables and two yokes are set to the correct lengths, cam
synchronizing should require little or no maintenance. Both the top and bottom
cams are slaved together via the power cables – forcing both cams to always
move together, regardless of when the cables come into contact with the cable
stops. The optimum setting is to have the draw stops at the same time as the
bow is pulled to full draw.
It is recommended to have an authorized Hoyt dealer synchronize the cams using
a draw board or other tools that aid in achieving proper cam synchronization.
CAM LUBRICATION
Hoyt SCTR cam system feature sealed ball bearings, which do not require lubri-
cation. In addition, it is NOT recommended that you use "Penetrating
Oils" such as WD-40, EZ-#7, Fast Break, etc. as these products can
damage your bow.
HOYT THREADED AXLE SYSTEM
WARNING:
I
While servicing Hoyt compound bows, it may be necessary to
remove the screws on the threaded axle system. These T10 Torx screws replace
traditional e-clip systems to ensure that limbs remain seated against the cam
spacers. These screws should only be removed by Hoyt Authorized Retailers, and
must be reinstalled before the bow is shot. To correctly install the axle screws,
ensure that both axle screws are seated against the limb and snugged tight.
If the screws are not installed, unwanted play can develop within the cam,
limb and axle interfaces, which could potentially cause injury to the user of
bystanders.
MODULAR GRIP SYSTEMS
The Concept X bow model comes standard
with a modular grip system. Bows come
factory installed with the 0 degree grip
module. To change the modules for a dif-
ferent angle, simply loosen and remove the
socket head cap screws with a 7/64 Allen
Key and then remove the module. Insert the
desired module into the grip bed and replace the screws, tighten to 15 in-lbs.
Don't over tighten.

on the back of the riser or near the limb pocket. The Serial number for a Concept
X series bow is located near the lower limb pocket.
