USING A BOW PRESS
Never allow your bow to be put into a bow press unless it is done by a knowl-
edgeable bow technician. Hoyt recommends that a Genuine Hoyt Retailer do all
necessary adjustments requir-
ing the use of a bow press.
Damage to your bow due to the
improper use of a bow press, or
any tool, will void your bow's
warranty. Only use a bow press
that captures/contacts the
bow at the limb tips (near-
est the cams) and compresses
the bow in a straight, inward
motion (see Figure 1). Never
apply force to the riser as this
could cause severe damage to
the bow (see Figure 2).
(Example of bow press that
only presses the limbs)
HOYT ROLLER CABLE GUARD SYSTEMS
Hoyt Roller Guard Systems are factory installed and requires no additional
installation. The roller wheels feature sealed bearings that require no lubrica-
tion. If wax or dirt accumulate on the roller wheels, simply clean the wheels
with a soft cloth.

Note: In order to remove both the split
yoke buss cable and control cable from
from Hoyt Roller Guards, the strings and
cables must first be relaxed with the
proper use of a bow press (see Bow Press
section). Once the cables are relaxed, the
roller wheels and spacers can be removed
by loosening and removing the shoulder
bolt with a 5/32" Allen key, allowing the
cables to be free.
When reassembling the unit, the roller wheels and spacers must be installed
correctly. The larger side, or flanged side, of the bearing should face away from
the bow's shelf. The HBT Roller Mount Assembly is designed to allow for instal-
lation and removal of the cables without disassembly.
DRAW LENGTH ADJUSTMENT FOR SCTR CAMS
The SCTR cams have two available mod options.
The SCTR CDM mod offers a rotat-
ing style mod with 7 positions
labeled E through K. Each position
represents a 1/2" change in draw
length, with E being the longest
and K being the shortest position.
The SCTR Spec mod offers a draw
length specific option. Spec mods
have three positions (with the
exception of the A size, which only has two positions) that allow a user to go
with the standard draw length position, or +/- 1/4" from the standard position.
If the C module represents 30" in the center position, then C+ gives the shooter
30.25" and C- gives the shooter 29.75".
The SCTR cam must have matching modules installed to the same position
between the top and bottom cams. The bow should never be drawn without
the modules and module-foot installed. Do not draw the bow without meeting
these conditions. The module screws on the SCTR cam utilize a T15 Torx wrench
and should be tightened to 30 in-lbs or 3.4 Nm.
