Once cooking is completed, the appliance enters the keep warm state. (Note: keep the rice warm after cooking and let it steam for 15 minutes. This will ensure that the rice is “fluffy”. After this, if possible, scoop the rice out immediately, or loosen the rice within 30 minutes to prevent the rice from caking.) However, DO NOT maintain the rice or any food for more than 12 hours in the appliance, even in the keep warm state as bacteria may start to multiply and the rice will also lose its flavour.
HOW TO CLEAN Switch off the appliance and unplug the power cable from the wall socket when not in use and before filling, emptying and cleaning the appliance. Allow sufficient time for the appliance to cool. Remove the Inner Pot from the body of the appliance. If some rice is still present, adding some warm soapy water to the Inner Pot and leaving it to stand for about 20 minutes might prove helpful in removing the rice later on.
