CONTROLS:
1. Volume Controls: These act as an individual volume
control for each of the two pickups. Rotating the control
knob clockwise will increase volume, rotating counter¬
clockwise will reduce ihe volume.
2. Pickup Selector Switch: One 3-Way Selector Switch
selects three permutations of pickup arrangement;
position one -Neck Pickup; position two - both pickups;
position three -bridge pickup.
3. Coil Tap Switch: The neck pickup volume control has a
switch built into it. This switch operates a coil-tap circuit
for the humbucking pickup. Pulling the volume control
knob outwards will convert the bridge pickup to single-coil
operation Pushing the control knob inwards will restore
the bridge pickup to its double-coil humbucking config¬
uration. A slight 'click' will be felt whenever this switch is
operated.
NOTE:
CARE MUST BE TAKEN TO MAINTAIN ADEQUATE
CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE PICKUPS AND
STRINGS. INADEQUATE CLEARANCE WILL RE¬
SULT IN LOSS OF SUSTAIN AND POSSIBLE
STRING BUZZING WHEN PLAYING ON THE UPPER
FRETS. MINIMUM RECOMMENDED CLEARANCE IS
Vs" (.125").
When adjusting pickup height, care should be taken to
ensure that the top surface of the pickup is parallel to tne
string plane. Improper adjustment can cause reduced pickup
output and reduced hum cancellation.
The six individual pole piece screws on the bnege pickup
allow critical pickup adjustment for each string. Raising or
lowering screws will increase or decrease treble sensitivity.
