CAUTION
TO PREVENT ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR FIRE HAZARD, DO NOT EXPOSE THIS
INSTRUMENT TO RAIN OR MOISTURE. BEFORE USING THIS INSTRUMENT, READ
BACK COVER FOR FURTHER WARNINGS.
Neck:
The select rock maple neck is of a unique bi-laminated
construction (U.S. Patent #4,237,944) to provide
unmatched
rigidity and freedom trom warpage.
Additional reinforcement is provided with a steel torsion
rod. This neck adjusting rod features rolled threads for
improved strength and freedom from breakage.
Body:
The T-15® body is made from the finest hand selected
hardwood, and is relatively compact in keeping with the
slightly shorter scale length. A double cutaway design
with special forearm and rib-cage relief contouring, rests
comfortably and with good balance against the player's
body.
Pickups:
Two single-coil high performance pickups provide
both high power and full-range operation. They may be
used singly or in unison, and are controlled by master
volume and tone controls. Exposed blade polepieces give
much better performance than the more common
individual magnet designs, especially when string
bending on the upper frets.
Circuitry:
The circuitry of the T-15® is conventional, with the
exception of a tone-compensating volume control, which
minimizes high frequency losses when operated at
reduced volume settings. However, full volume settings
will maximize the tonal capabilities. The volume level
should therefore be controlled at the amplifier whenever
possible,
Bridge:
The massive die cast alloy bridge is triple chrome
plated for durability and resistance to corrosion. Support
is provided at three points for stability and maximum
adjustment of height and tilt. A single, intonation-
compensating bridge saddle is adjustable at both the
treble and bass sides.
Hardware:
*Top quality covered tuning machines with ivory colored
knobs
*Metal die cast top nut
*Massive control knobs
*Sturdy pickup selector switch with comfortable bat
handle
*Qutput jack on face of guitar
*Cream and black, laminated pickguard
eTop quality rock and roll gauge strings for light action
and good sustain
T-15® Controls:
4. Volume Control:
The volume control acts as a master volume in that it
controls the total signal level delivered from both pickups
to the output jack. Rotating the control knob clockwise
will increase volume; rotating counterclockwise wili
reduce volume.
2. Tone Control:
The tone control, like the volume control, operates asa
master control. Rotating clockwise will result in more
treble (high frequencies) anda brighter tonality. Rotating
counterclockwise will result in less treble and a "bassier"
type sound
3. Pickup Selector Switch:
This three-position switch determines which pickup is
operational. With the guitar suspended in normal playing
position, moving the switch handle upward activates the
rhythm (neck) pickup; the extreme downward position
activates the lead (bridge) pickup; the middle position
activates both pickups simultaneously.
Output Jack:
The output jack is a conventional ⁄4" phone jack which
accepts standard guitar patch cords.
Pickups:
The volume level between pickups can be adjusted by
raising or lowering each pickup with its height adjusting
screws. Raising the pickups closer to the strings will
increase the output and volume. Lowering the pickups
away from the strings will decrease output and volume
NOTE
CARE
MUST
BE TAKEN
TO MAINTAIN
ADEQUATE
'CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE PICKUPS AND STRINGS.
INADEQUATE CLEARANCE WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF
SUSTAIN AND POSSIBLE STRING BUZZING WHEN
PLAYING ON THE UPPER FRETS.
Adjustments:
Your T-15® guitar has been carefully adjusted for
accurate intonation and playing ease at the Peavey
factory. However, your playing style or playing
requirements may necessitate additional adjustments at
some time in the future. These adjustments should be
made by your Peavey Dealer. However, with a little care
and by adhering closely to the following instructions, you
may attempt these adjustments yourself.
