Troubleshooting Preventive Maintenance of the PipeWIZARD Main Unit As the PipeWIZARD Main Unit unit has no moving parts, it does not require preventive maintenance. Only a regular inspection of the unit is recommended to ensure that the PipeWIZARD Main Unit unit has adequate grounding. Thus, verify that the interface and back panels of the PipeWIZARD Main Unit are properly tightened.
This section provides the procedure for the appropriate cleaning of the instrument. To clean the PipeWIZARD Main Unit Make sure that the PipeWIZARD Main Unit is turned off and that the power cord is disconnected. WARNING To prevent the risk of an electric shock, first disconnect the power cord from the power outlet, and then disconnect the power cord from the PipeWIZARD Main Unit.
Maintenance of the Heat Exchanger Filter The PipeWIZARD Main Unit is equipped with one heat exchanger located on the back panel. A filter, located on the vent inlet, remove dust particles from the air drawn in by the fan. To allow sufficient airflow, the filter must be cleaned and changed periodically, according to your PipeWIZARD Main Unit utilization and the quality of ambient air.
Tighten the screws securing the filter into place. Changing the Fuses of the PipeWIZARD Main Unit The fuses protect the unit from power overload. If the PipeWIZARD Main Unit does not turn on when properly supplied by an AC power source, verify the fuses located in the fuse holders on the interface panel.
DMTA-20020-01EN [U8778619], Rev. B, October 2016 Make sure that the PipeWIZARD Main Unit is turned off and that the AC power cord is disconnected from the interface panel. Unscrew the fuse holder caps (see Figure 4-3 on page 31), and then remove the fuses.
To reset the circuit breaker Make sure that the PipeWIZARD Main Unit is turned off, and then disconnect the power cord from the power outlet. Disconnect all external cables from the PipeWIZARD Main Unit interface panel.
DMTA-20020-01EN [U8778619], Rev. B, October 2016 CAUTION Make sure that the internal cables of the PipeWIZARD Main Unit are not damaged or pinched when opening the interface panel. Locate the 6 A circuit breaker, and then reset it by pressing the center button of the circuit breaker (see Figure 4-5 on page 33).
