Appliance location This appliance is certified for commercial and domestic outdoor entertainment/alfresco dining areas. This appliance has also been certified for outdoor completely exposed weather applications. This appliance must only be used in well ventilated areas. It is not recommended for this appliance to be installed or operated in a direct sea side of sea air application.
Definition of an outdoor area The appliance shall only be used in an above ground open air situation with natural ventilation, without stagnant areas and where gas leakage and products of combustion are rapidly dispersed by wind and natural convection. Regular maintenance and servicing is not covered by the Rinnai warranty. For reliable operation Rinnai Super Rays should be serviced every two years. If they are in a harsh outdoor environment or intensively used (for example, in a commercial application), annual servicing would be beneficial.
Operation To turn on Pull the cord down slowly until a click is heard and check for ignition while holding the cord down. Should the heater fail to ignite, release the cord and repeat the above step. After ignition, continue to hold down the cord for a further 20 seconds for the gas valve to fully open.

Installation 1. Select a suitable position. 2. Unscrew the wall bracket from the rear of the heater using a 4 mm Allen key. The wall on which the heater is mounted must be capable of supporting the heater (10 kg). Unscrew these screws to remove the wall bracket Place the wall bracket in position and mark the location fixing holes on the wall.
