3. Get to Know iTrixx-WFMN Hardware

There is 1 cable on the iTrixx-WFMN-Di, 3 cables on the
iTrixx-WFMNA-ADi. From the top to bottom, they are
described as cable 1, 2, 3. See the iTrixx-WFMN
Reference Layout
at the end of this instruction to locate
the push buttons and wire chart mentioned in this
instruction.

4. Activate the Meter

The iTrixx-WFMN is designed to be integrated into
existing equipment to monitor run-time. Installing your
iTrixx will involve tapping circuits on the equipment you
intend to monitor.
The iTrixx Hour Meter has two separate hour counters
on the software. The hour counters may be activated in
several ways:
4.1 Power-based Activation
In the simplest setup the iTrixx may be activated
whenever power is applied to the unit. In this case, if
the iTrixx is on, it is counting. A voltage threshold is
provided so the iTrixx may stop counting as power is
lost to prevent memory corruption. In this way, you
only need to connect the iTrixx to the same power
source of the equipment you wish to collect running
data, no other wiring required.
4.2 Digital Input Activation
Use one of the two digital inputs to turn counting on
and off. The digital inputs can detect an external on/off
state of a sensor or a 5-24VDC signal from a PLC.
4.3 Analog Input Activation (iTrixx-WFMN-Adi only)
Activate the hour counter from data collected by an
analog sensor such as a current sensor.
