    OCHAIN e-bike CRANKSET is a component set by Ochain srl. Ochain srl guarantees its products against materials or manufacturing defects for a period of 2 years starting from the date of purchase by the first buyer, proven by the receipt or by the invoice in case of a direct purchase.

    If Ochain srl, after checking the product, finds that the damage is due to one of the reasons mentioned above, the warranty request will not be accepted and the defective item is sent back to the plaintiff who supports the shipping fees.
  • Page 4: Maintenance

    Inspect your OCHAIN product for wear, looseness or damage including cracks, dents and serious scratches before each ride and after every fall or crash. Do not use your OCHAIN product until it has been thoroughly inspected, repaired or replaced. PERIODICALLY CHECK THE CORRECT TIGHTENING OF THE CRANK SCREWS. INCORRECT TIGHTENING MAY CAUSE MALFUNCTIONING OR BREAKAGE.
  • Page 5 Install your OCHAIN following the dedicated instructions (see the Ochain website). Assemble the Ochain drive-side crankarm (marked with R on the back side), tighten-it with an 8mm hex torque wrench with the following tightening torque: 55Nm Bosch/Brose/Polini – 40Nm Fazua.
  • Page 6 FOR SHIMANO VERSION ONLY: Align the crankarm with the cutted side on the opposite side of the hole in the motor axle, as shown in the image below: Use the 6mm hex torque wrench to tight the axle screw to 2Nm, tighten then the two radial bolts with a 5mm hex torque wrench to 14Nm.
  • Page 7 OCHAIN e-bike CRANKSET removal To remove the Ochain cranks only an 8mm Allen wrench is necessary. Turn wrench counterclockwise to loosen the axle bolt. After initial loosening, the resistance will increase. Keep turning to remove the crankarm (self-extracting system). Repeat for both sides.
