Start up and Log in
Turn the reader on
Press and hold the power button firmly for 1 second and wait
for it to perform self-checks.
Log in
Scan your operator barcode or, Select
your ID number on touch screen.
The start screen will appear.
Check Strip condition:
Check pads on the dry strips have not changed colour.
Discard can if there is any discolouration
1. Dip and blot the strip
Remove strip from can and replace lid immediately.
Dip the CombiScreen test strip (1-2seconds) ensuring all test
pads are immersed. Remove the strip by dragging the back
of strip over the rim of the urine container to remove excess
urine. Blot one edge of the strip on a paper towel.
2. Place the strip + scan strip lot
Place the strip onto the trough of the test strip table, ensuring
it is in the correct position. The reader will automatically
detect the strip and will begin the test.
Scan the barcode on the can to record strip lot/expiry
Note: If strip is not in correct position, Urilyzer will allow 10
seconds for you to re-position the strip: press retry. Timing will
be taken from the first attempt.
3. Enter patient ID
Patient ID screen – scan the patients ID barcode or enter using
the touchscreen
