- Page 6 Apply thread sealant to the threads on the tailpiece. Insert the tailpiece into the trap inlet, with 1” (2.5 cm) to 2” (5.1 cm) inside the trap. The tailpiece may need to be cut for proper fit. Attach the tailpiece to the tee and tighten. 112035-2-AB Kohler Co.
