The AutoStop Maxi-GPS is fitted with a low voltage cut-out switch in the circuitry to protect the battery from excessive discharge. If the battery is allowed to discharge to zero (0) volts, and left standing for a long period of time, severe sulfation would occur, raising the internal resistance of the battery to abnormally high levels.

An interfacecable and download software are required to download test results from the Brake Meter. These are provided with the unit. The uploaded data, formatted as a text file, can be imported into spreadsheet programs such as Excel and Lotus for future detailed examination, or printed.
