cPC2PMC 3.3.3 PCI Hot Swap Signals The following Compact PCI Hot Swap signals are used on the cPC2PMC: Compact PCI Signal Name Purpose ENUM# Used to indicate to the system controller that the cPC2PMC has been inserted or is about to be removed. This is an open collector output from the cPC2PMC.
The cPC2PMC uses a microswitch built in to the lower front-panel ejector/injector handle. A change of ® state in the microswitch will occur during an insertion and extraction from a CompactPCI backplane. ® This will cause the ENUM# signal to be asserted on the CompactPCI backplane. cPC2PMC ® CompactPCI Connector J3 and J4 This table shows the connections between the Pn4 connector on the two PMC sites (1 & 2) and the ® CompactPCI connectors J3 & J4. This is as per the PMC on Compact PCI Specification PICMG 2.3 R1.0.
