    • To prevent the unit from picking up vibrations or sound pressure waves, do not place it next to speakers or similar equipment. • Placing the handytraxx play next to a radio may cause it to pick up wireless electrostatic inter- ference.     - Getting ready Inserting the batteries Remove the screw from the bottom of the battery compartment, open the cover and insert the bat- teries while making sure they are facing the right direction. When using this unit on battery power, the power indicator blinks at a specific interval if the remain- ing battery level reaches or falls below a certain point.

    - Getting ready Removing the exchangeable plug from the AC adapter While pressing the lock button on the AC adapter, slide the exchangeable plug. Once it reaches the point where it can no longer slide, the exchangeable plug can be removed.

    - Getting ready Connecting audio devices Use the OUTPUT jacks if you wish to connect to an audio amp or the like. The audio output from the OUTPUT jacks is the same as the sound that’s output from the speakers.

    Use the headphone volume knob to control the headphone volume. Auto power-off function The handytraxx play automatically turns off if the switches are not operated for 20 minutes and the turntable is stopped (except for when the looper is recording).

    - Operation DJ play DJ play You can enjoy DJ play by recording the sound of the record with the looper, and then use the cross- fader while the loop is playing in the background to scratch the record or apply delay and filter effects.

    - Operation LOOP section MIX knob This adjusts the volume balance between the loop playback and record playback audio. When you scratch while the loop is playing back but the record playback audio is too loud, turn the knob clockwise from center position.

    - Operation PLAY button Plays the recorded audio in a loop. Each time you press this repeatedly during playback, the loop restarts from the beginning, so you can use this like a sampler pad. LOOP indicator Shows the looper status.

    - Operation Effects FILTER section FILTER knob Adjusts the filter effect. The effect that changes when you turn the knob depends on the filter type. TYPE button Each press of this button cycles to the next filter type. When you switch the filter type, the FILTER indicator color changes.

    - Operation DELAY section FEEDBACK knob Sets how many times the feedback delay sound is repeated. Turn this knob clockwise for more repeti- tions, and counterclockwise for less repetitions. TEMPO knob Adjusts the delay time. Turn the knob clockwise for a longer delay time, and counterclockwise for a shorter delay time.

    • If the tip of the cartridge needle becomes worn out, this may make the sound quality worse, and may also damage the record. • Make sure to turn the power off before you replace these parts. • Please contact Korg customer service if you need to replace the cartridge or needle.

    - Appendix Troubleshooting Power does not turn on • Is the AC adapter plugged into the AC outlet? Connect the AC adapter to the AC outlet. • Have you installed batteries, and are they in the correct orientation? If you are using this unit on battery power, check whether the batteries have enough charge.
