IMPORTANT SAFETY TIPS

Never point the high pressure nozzle at people or animals.

IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS


When using this product, always follow the following basic precautions:

  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons to avoid danger.
  • Children should not use the machines. Children should be supervised so that they do not play with the equipment.
  • This machine should not be used by people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge.
  • This machine can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they are supervised or use the machine safely and understand the resulting risks.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when operating high-pressure washers: for example, safety boots, protective gloves, protective visors, hearing protection, etc.

This machine has been developed to use the detergent supplied or recommended by the manufacturer. The use of other cleaning agents or chemicals may affect the safety of the machine.


High pressure jets can be dangerous if used incorrectly. The jet should not be directed at people, animals, active electrical equipment or against the machine itself.

  • Do not use the equipment with people in its range of action unless they are wearing protective clothing.
  • Do not direct the jet towards yourself or other people to clean clothes or shoes.
  • Disconnect the power supply before user performs maintenance.
  • High pressure washers should not be operated by children or unqualified persons.
  • To ensure the safety of the machine, use only original spare parts from the manufacturer or spare parts approved by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use the equipment if a power cord or important parts of the equipment are damaged, for example, safety devices, high-pressure hoses, spray gun.
  • If an extension cord is used, the plug and outlet must be waterproof.


Improper extension cords can be dangerous. If an extension cable is used, it must be suitable for use in open spaces, and the connection must be kept dry and off the ground. Use cable reels that ensure that the sockets are at least 60 mm above the ground.

  • Turn off the equipment and disconnect it from the power source before assembly, cleaning, adjustment, maintenance, storage and transportation.
  • The power supply connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician and must comply with the IEC 60364-1 standard. An earth fault interrupter or fault current interrupter must be installed that cuts off the power if the earth leakage current exceeds 30 mA for 30 ms.

  • Do not use the machine if a connection cable or important parts of the machine are damaged, for example safety devices, high pressure hoses, spray gun. The machines are not suitable for connection to portable water pipes. Connect the machine to a water supply point.
  • Use the appliance on a level surface.
  • Before use, check the filter and mouthpiece. Make sure there is no dirt or debris that could cause a blockage. After use, make sure there is no water in the pump and hose.
  • Overload protection: When the nozzle is clogged or when the high-pressure hose has a knot, the overload protection will work automatically and the machine will shut down. Make sure the fault has been resolved and turn the machine back on.
  • If it is necessary to use electrical extensions, make sure that the cables have the appropriate gauge: for cables from 1 to 10 meters in length, 1.5 mm² gauge; for cables from 10 to 30 meters, gauge 2.5 mm².
  • The plugs and couplings of the electrical extension used must be waterproof.
  • Regularly check the power cord for cracks or signs of aging. If any damage is detected, it is necessary to replace the cable before using the device again.
  • When replacing couplings on extension cords, water protection and mechanical stability must not be compromised.
  • If the equipment's operating instructions (technical data) indicate a sound pressure level higher than 85 dB(A), it is essential to use hearing protection equipment.
  • Vehicle tires/tire valves can be washed at a spray distance of at least 30 cm. Otherwise, the tires and valve may be damaged by the high pressure jet. The first sign of damage is a change in tire color. Damaged vehicle tires are extremely dangerous.
  • Materials containing asbestos or those containing substances harmful to health cannot be washed.

ATTENTION: Only detergents approved by the manufacturer can be used. This appliance was developed to use detergents supplied by Kärcher. The use of other detergents or chemical agents may affect the safety of the appliance.


Depending on the application, shielded nozzles may be used for high pressure cleaning, which will dramatically reduce the emission of hydrated aerosols. However, not all applications allow the use of such a device. If the shielded mouthpiece is not applicable for aerosol protection, a respirator mask of FFP class 2 or equivalent may be necessary, depending on the cleaning environment.

  1. Read all instructions before using the product. Retain all safety instructions.
  2. Do not use the high pressure washer if you are tired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  3. Risk of accidents or injuries: Do not direct high-pressure water flow at people or animals.
  4. Do not allow children to operate the high pressure washer at any time.
  5. To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when using the pressure washer near children.
  6. Learn how to stop the unit and reduce pressure immediately. Become thoroughly familiar with the controls.
  7. Stay alert: Always be alert when directing the high-pressure jet.
  8. Keep the cleaning area free of people.
  9. Maintain good balance at all times: do not approach or stand on an unstable surface.
  10. The work area must have adequate drainage to reduce the possibility of falls due to slippery surfaces.
  11. Follow the maintenance instructions specified in the manual.
  12. To reduce the risk of electric shock, keep all connections dry and off the ground. Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
  13. When opening the drive gun, be aware of the risk of kickback force and sudden torque on the spray assembly.
  14. It is recommended that the power source of this machine includes a fault current interrupter device that interrupts the power supply if the ground leakage current exceeds 30 mA for 30 ms or a device that protects the ground circuit.

  15. Do not use the machine near people unless they are wearing protective clothing.

  16. Risk of explosion – do not spray on flammable liquids.

  17. High pressure hoses, connections and couplings are important to the safety of the machine. Use only hoses, fittings and couplings recommended by the manufacturer.
  18. ATTENTION: Water from preventive backflow is not considered potable. If you use an" aquastop" device (to prevent water backflow) on your supply hose, the water from this point on may become impure. Do not connect the hose to a potable network without this type of connection.

GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

  1. The high pressure hose may leak due to wear, abuse, failure, etc. Do not use a damaged hose.
  2. Do not use the high pressure washer in areas near combustible materials, combustible fumes or dust.
  3. Some chemicals or detergents can be harmful if inhaled or swallowed, which can cause serious injury. Use a respirator or mask whenever there is a possibility of inhaling vapors. Read all instructions included with your mask to ensure it will provide the necessary protection against inhaling harmful vapors.
  4. Before operating the high pressure washer in cold weather, check all parts of the equipment and make sure there is no ice formation on them. Do not store the equipment anywhere where the temperature drops below 0℃ (32℉).
  5. DO NOT MAKE ANY MODIFICATIONS TO ANY OF THE COMPONENTS! Units with broken or missing parts or without casing or protective covers should NEVER be operated.
  6. Keep the high-pressure hose connected to the high-pressure washer and spray gun while the system is pressurized. Disconnecting the hose while the unit is pressurized is dangerous and could cause injury.
  7. Always turn off or unplug the machine when leaving it unattended.
  8. Keep the water jet away from electrical wiring; Otherwise, fatal electric shock may occur.
  9. Connect the machine to the water supply point before use, then press the gun trigger and open the pressure washer switch.

The machine has not been designed to connect to potable water pipes.


Electrical products waste should not be thrown into household waste bins. Recycle them where facilities are available. Consult your local authorities or your dealer for recycling instructions.


Recycle unwanted materials instead of throwing them away as trash. All tools, hoses and packaging must be sorted, taken to the local recycling center and disposed of in an environmentally safe way.

MAINTENANCE OF DOUBLE INSULATION EQUIPMENT

In a double insulated product, two insulation systems are provided instead of one ground. No grounding is provided on a double insulated product and no means of grounding should be added to the product.
Servicing a double-insulated product requires extreme care and knowledge of the system, and should only be performed by an authorized service technician. Replacement parts for a double-insulated product must be identical to the parts they replace. A double insulated product is marked with the words" DOUBLE INSULATED" or "DOUBLE INSULATED." The product may also be marked with the symbol shown below.

USE OF EXTENSION CORDS

The use of an extension cord is NOT RECOMMENDED with this product. If you must use an extension cord, use only those designed for use in open spaces. These cables are identified as" SUITABLE FOR USE WITH OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT. STORE IN A CLOSED PLACE WHEN NOT IN USE." Only use extension cords with a higher electrical rating than the product. Examine the extension cord before using it. DO NOT USE DAMAGED EXTENSION CORDS! Do not pull on the cord to disconnect it from the receptacle; Always unplug it by pulling on the plug. Keep the cord away from heat and sharp objects. Always unplug the extension cord from the receptacle before disconnecting the product from the extension cord.

CORRECT USE OF THE HIGH PRESSURE WASHER

THIS UNIT IS DESIGNED TO BE USED WITH COLD WATER ONLY!DO NOT USE HOT WATER WITH THIS HIGH PRESSURE WASHER.

  1. Always use the high pressure washer below the rated fluid pressure of the high pressure washer. Never operate the high pressure washer without a water supply. Operating the unit without water supply will cause irreparable damage to the unit.
  2. Make sure the water supply point you use for the high-pressure washer is free of dirt, dust, and does not contain corrosive chemicals. Using a dirty water supply point will compromise the life of the high pressure washer.
  3. ATTENTION – The high pressure washer can be used for various applications such as washing cars, garages, etc., when high pressure is required to remove dirt and debris. High pressure water flow can damage your work surface if not used correctly!
    See the section titled" STARTING INTO OPERATION" for more details.
  4. NEVER move the unit by pulling on the high pressure hose. Use the handle located on the top of the product.
  5. Always hold the high pressure gun and lance with both hands. Keep one hand on the gun/trigger while holding the spear with the other (see pictures).
  6. When spraying detergent, the high-pressure washer applies detergent to the area to be cleaned only at low pressure. After applying detergent, remove it by spraying it outside the work area using the adjustable nozzle.

PUTING THE MACHINE INTO OPERATION STEP BY STEP

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR EQUIPMENT

  1. The connection of the nozzle is carried out by means of suitable. To connect them, place the nozzle to the cavity of the lance, so that there is no space between them.

  5. Screw the high pressure hose onto the water outlet connection
    Push it in and turn it clockwise to tighten it and prevent leaks. When the parts are well joined, you will not be able to separate the two components by pulling directly on the water outlet.
    ATTENTION: Before operating the machine, make sure that the high pressure hose is completely uncoiled. While the machine is in operation, the high pressure hose MUST NOT BE COILED.

  6. Connect the other end of the high pressure hose to the gun
    Observation: After connecting the high pressure hose, check the connection by pulling lightly on the hose to ensure that the hose remains connected. Push the locking button (1) and pull it to disconnect the high pressure hose. To easily disconnect the hose, press the trigger to empty the water from the lance when the operation is complete and the switch is in the" OFF/0" position.

  7. Screw on the water inlet connector and inlet hose
    Screw the water inlet connector (13) into the water inlet connection (11). The equipment is DESIGNED to be used with water with a temperature above 0°C and a maximum of 40°C.


The garden hose must not be damaged or leaking; It cannot have a diameter less than 1/2 inch and its length must not exceed 8 meters.

  1. Plug the power cord of the high pressure washer into the electrical outlet.

SETING UP


During operation, the equipment must be placed on a firm and stable surface.


The high pressure hose must not be coiled.

Starting up

  1. Turn on the water supply. Press the trigger for approximately 1 minute until low pressure water flows out to remove air from the unit.

    Do not use hot water with this high pressure washer! This unit is designed to be used with cold water only!

  1. Turn the high pressure washer switch to the "ON/I" position, then squeeze the trigger.
    Observation: Before pressing the trigger, make sure the lock switch is in the "unlocked" position.

    Do not turn on the machine without connecting and opening the water supply point, as this could damage the high pressure seals and reduce the life of the pump.

  1. Select the correct nozzles
    Press the trigger and the high pressure water jet will come out. You can adjust the adjustable nozzle between a Fan jet (1) and a Straight Jet (2).

    High pressure jets can be dangerous if used incorrectly. The jet should not be directed towards people, live electrical equipment or the equipment itself.

    Do not direct the jet at yourself or other people to clean clothing or shoes.

    The spray gun must have the safety lock on when changing nozzles.
    SETING UP - Step 3
  1. Cleaning
    Use the nozzle at a distance of 30 to 60 centimeters from the surface and approach carefully until you reach the desired position so that too much spray does not damage the surface.

    Do not connect the machine to water supply points that are dirty, oxidized, blocked or corroded. (This includes crystal clear liquids, plant food or fertilizers, etc.)

  1. When cleaning work is finished, release the trigger and turn the switch to "OFF/O" position and then turn off the water supply.
    Observation: When not in use, make sure the gun lock switch is in the "Locked" position.
    Observation: Using the high pressure washer after the water supply has been turned off can cause serious damage to the pump and/or motor.

    Never disconnect the high pressure hose from the machine while the system is pressurized. To depressurize, turn off the machine, then turn off the water supply and press the gun trigger 2-3 times.
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the outlet.


It is recommended to use a residual current device (residual differential switch - DR) that interrupts the power supply if the ground leakage current exceeds 30 mA for 30 ms, or a ground circuit fault device.


It is recommended to use a maximum 16A slow-acting circuit breaker.

USAGE INFORMATION

  1. Safety valve and/or pressure limiting valve


Do not modify or adjust the safety valve settings.

The safety valve is also a pressure limiting valve. When the gun trigger is released, the valve opens, the pressure switch is actuated and the machine automatically shuts off.

If the gun nozzle is blocked, the pressure in the machine will increase, the safety valve will open, the pressure switch will operate and the machine will automatically shut down. See below how to use a needle to clean the nozzle.

  1. Gun Safety Lock
    The user needs to release the safety lock and then pull the trigger to perform the spray operation. When you release the trigger, it can automatically return to the "off" position. When you are not using the high pressure washer, engage the safety lock to prevent accidental activation of the high pressure spray.

  2. Hold the gun
    Whenever you use the high pressure washer, we suggest that you hold it in the correct position, with one hand on the handle and the other on the spray lance.
  3. To wash with detergent
    1. Turn the container body away from the applicator nozzle, then add water with a suitably prepared cleaner or detergent, place it inside the container and close it. Attach the detergent applicator to the gun.

    2. Squeeze the trigger of the gun and the detergent comes out of the nozzle.
    3. Apply the detergent so that it completely covers the cleaning surface.
    4. Let the detergent sit on the surface for a few minutes. This is a good time to use a brush to lightly clean heavily soiled areas.
    5. Switch to the spray nozzle and rinse the detergent from the surface.
    6. Cleaning: When finished, always run clean water through the detergent applicator to remove any detergent residue that may be in the system. The container can be disconnected if necessary. Repeat this process until all detergent is removed from the system.

MAINTENANCE

All maintenance operations not contemplated in this chapter must be carried out by an Authorized Technical Service.


Always disconnect the plug from the outlet before carrying out any work on the equipment.

  1. Cleaning the water inlet filter
    The water filter is installed inside the water inlet connection and must be cleaned periodically. Rinse it with clean tap water and replace it in the water inlet.
    information Note: Using the equipment without the filter will cause a reduction in theuseful life of the product and the loss of the warranty.
  2. Cleaning the nozzle
    Using the supplied nozzle cleaner (or an open paper clip), insert the wire into the nozzle hole and move it back and forth until any debris dislodges. Backwash the nozzles with water using a garden hose and the highest pressure available (with a standard faucet or use your thumb over the tip to create water pressure to backwash)

STORAGE

  1. Turn off the equipment by leaving the switch in the "OFF/0" position, close the water supply faucet and squeeze the trigger to remove pressure from the system.
  2. Disconnect the power supply.
  3. Disconnect the hoses and accessories mounted on the equipment

information Note: If the equipment is going to be stored for a long period, remove all water present inside. Turn on the appliance without the supply hose and pull the trigger with the appliance running for up to 1 minute until there is no more water. Unplug the plug from the outlet. Place the accessories on the supports available on the equipment.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Be sure to check the following points before contacting the Authorized Service Center.
