  1. Remove zappi from packaging.
  2. Fit wall guard Ⓐ for tethered zappi using 4X Ø4x12mm screws Ⓑ provided.
  3. Press 2X fascia clips inwards, while pulling fascia forward as shown by arrow .
  4. Loosen 8X cover screws and remove the front cover. Detach the flat ribbon cable shown, if necessary. Do not allow the front cover to suspend during installation.
    Installation - Step 1
  5. Using the cardboard template, mark all the mounting holes required.
    • Use holes marked Ⓑ for brick (use Ø7mm masonry drill and wall plugs provided.
    • Use holes marked Ⓐ if mounting to a stud wall or joist.
  6. Fit rubber plugs provided in all unused mounting holes.
  7. Secure zappi to structure using fixing kit provided. Ensure sealing washers Ⓐ provided are used on all fixings Ⓑ to maintain IP rating.
  8. Drill 1X hole Ⓐ for IP65 rated gland. Fit supply cable in accordance with gland manufacturers' instructions.
  9. Supply cable shall meet the requirements of the local wiring regulations. Strip 18mm insulation from conductors and insert into the terminals as shown. Terminate earth conductor to earth point for TT installations only. Not required for TN-S installations.

    Holes marked should only be used to terminate conductors/cables.
    Holes marked should only be used to release the conductor. Only insert an appropriate tool such as a flat bladed screwdriver. If in doubt, refer to yellow label below terminals.
    Installation - Step 2
  10. Fit CT(s) to live conductors as necessary, with arrow marked Ⓐ in direction of current flow.
  11. Ensure O-ring is present and sits neatly into its groove.
  12. Check the ribbon cable is in place, by gently pushing on the connector in the positions shown by the arrows. Terminate RJ45 in location , if required.
  13. Refit the front cover and evenly torque 8X cover screws to 1.2Nm.
  14. Refit the front fascia.
  15. Carry out all relevant tests and inspections in accordance with local regulations, before applying power.
  16. Follow the setup wizard for compliant operation.

  • This device has been manufactured in accordance with the state of the art and the recognised safety standards, however, incorrect operation or misuse may result in:
    • Inefficient operation of the device
    • Damage to the device and other property
    • Injury or death to the operator or third parties
  • Any persons involved in commissioning, maintaining and servicing this device must:
    • be suitably qualified.
    • have knowledge and experience in dealing with electrical installations.
    • always disconnect the device from the supply before removing the cover.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble, tamper, modify or repair the device, as it has no user serviceable parts. Servicing and repair must only be carried out by a suitably qualified installer, with approved Myenergi parts.
  • Do not insert foreign objects into any part of the zappi or cable and connectors.
  • Stop using the device if it is found to be defective, or if any part is cracked, broken or damaged.
  • Never spray or submerge the zappi with water.
  • The device must be earthed through a permanent earth conductor, correctly installed and reliably connected.
  • The product is not to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been given instruction concerning use of the device by a person responsible for their safety.
  • The supply final circuit should be protected by an overcurrent device sized to 120% of the Design Current and accordance in accordance with local regulation requirements.
  • zappi incorporates 6mA DC residual circuit protection (RDC-DD) in accordance with EN 62955. Local regulations may require 30mA Type-A RCD protection to be installed upstream
  • Do not install or operate the device in potentially explosive atmospheres or areas containing highly flammable materials or gases.
  • This device is intended for a fixed location with a permanent AC supply.
  • This device may be installed indoors or outdoors, and shall be mounted in the vertical orientation only to a flat wall or surface.
  • To secure the device to the wall or surface, ensure suitable fixings are selected.
  • To maintain the IP rating of the unit, ensure the grommets and plugs provided are fitted. Ensure the cover O-ring is seated correctly and that all cables are fitted with an appropriate gland.
  • Do not rest heavy objects on top of this device.
  • Untethered devices should only use a dedicated charge cable fitted with Type 2 plugs, compliant to EN 62196-1 and EN 62196-2. Adaptors, conversion adapters and cord extension sets are not permitted.
  • Only operate this device in an ambient temperature between -25°C to +40°C.
