    Section 1 Product Overview 1.1 Operation ONYX FirstVision enables a first responder (e.g. firefighter) to view an event in the context of the building’s floor layouts. This product consists of an enclosure (P/N FIRSTVISION-ENC) and a liquid-crystal display (P/N FIRSTVISION-LCD).     Product Overview System Architecture 1.6 System Architecture FirstVision communicates with NFN-GW-EM-3 Gateways over an Ethernet connection. If FirstVision is configured to communicate with multiple NFN-GW-EM-3 gateways, all gateways must be configured to operate in the Proprietary Receiving Unit or Canada-Proprietary Receiving Unit mode. If FirstVision is configured to communicate with a workstation containing a PC NFN Gateway, both the workstation and gateway must be configured to operate in the Proprietary Receiving Unit or Canada-Proprietary Receiving Unit mode.

    Section 3 FirstVision Setup 3.1 Connecting the Keyboard and Mouse Connect a keyboard and mouse as follows: Unlock and open the front door of the FirstVision enclosure. Connect a USB keyboard and mouse to the two USB ports on the front panel of the FirstVision. A system reboot is not necessary.

    FirstVision Setup Copying Files From FirstVision Unit 3.8 Copying Files From FirstVision Unit The configuration information may be copied from the FirstVision unit if the PC previously used for configuration is not available. Copy the configuration information as follows: Shut down the FirstVision application if it is running. Unlock the door and connect a keyboard and mouse (see 3.1, "Connecting the Keyboard and Mouse").

    Section 4 Operation 4.1 Screen Saver When there are no active events in the system, a Windows screen saver displays on the FirstVision screen. The screen saver is hidden by the floorplan view of the affected location if events are reported. The screen saver remains disabled as long as the event condition exists. After the event has been remedied, the screen saver automatically enables after the configured wait time.

Each log entry contains an event number, a time and date stamp, information identifying the device involved, and the state of the device during the event.
