  • Page 3: About Your Vampire Standalone

    ● Vampire 2 ● Vampire 4 You’ll notice from this list that the Vampire uses an Apollo 68080 FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) processor. Unlike the Motorola processors, this chip is programmable. This means the chip can be ‘updated’ when required, very similar to firmware on other devices.
  • Page 4: Basic Setup

Basic setup As with older Commodore Amiga hardware, there are dedicated ports designed for use with specific device types. Although your Vampire computer utilises three USB ports, they do not function the same as they would on an x86/x64 PC. Please ensure that you plug your devices into their correct ports or they may fail to function.

Additionally, not all Compact Flash and MicroSD cards are compatible with Vampire hardware.
