    DM588 Service Manual The TX circuit includes an RF power amplification circuit, a low pass filter circuit and an automatic power control circuit.  RF Power Amplification Circuit Transmitting signals TX VCO are buffered and amplified by the Q7, Q8, Q9 and then the pre-drive amplifier Q18 to generate strong enough driving power signals, and then amplified by the last-stage amplifier Q29.

    DM588 Service Manual local oscillator signal provided by a VCO to achieve frequency conversion, to get the first IF signal.  MF Circuit and MF Signal Processing The first MF signals are filtered by the crystal filter Z2, amplified by the amplifiers Q13 and Q14, and then mixed again and processed by the MF decoding chip AK2365 for second mix up and ADC sampling.

    DM588 Service Manual Mic Keypad BL-MIC Digital Output (VOH>2.8V，VOL<0.4V) Backlight Control USB+ Power Output (7~12V) Ground Power Ground Power Supply The main board provides two routes of power supply for the control panel: one is DC3.3V for the key scan module and LCD module, and the other is DC13.2V for the hand microphone, LED screen and backlight lamp.

    DM588 Service Manual 3.10.Upgrading Software The software of the radio might be up upgraded from time to time with function development. To upgrade the software, take the following steps. Step 1.Power off the radio. Connect the radio to the PC using the programming cable.
  • Page 16 DM588 Service Manual Step 5.Click “Setting”, select the port of the programming cable and the baud rate 921600. Step 6.Click “Start downloading”, start upgrade and the message “Waiting” will be displayed. Step 7.Hold down the On/Off and P1 keys and rotate the Power/Volume knob to power on the radio.

    DM588 Service Manual Step 8.After upgrading is finished, “Passed” will be displayed. Click “Stop downloading”. 1. Power off the radio. Connect the radio to the PC using the programming cable. 2. Power on the radio by holding down the On/Off and P1 keys and the Volume/Channel knob simultaneously, the radio will enter upgrade mode, red light will flash, and the startup logo will be displayed on the screen.

    DM588 Service Manual 4.1.Separating RF Unit and Control Panel To separate the RF part and the control panel, take the following steps. 1. Screw down the eight M3*16 torx round-head machine screws on the bottom aluminium-alloy housing fastening the top aluminium-alloy housing, and remove the top aluminium-alloy housing together with the waterproofing ring of the RF unit.

    DM588 Service Manual 2. Lift the front part of the main board, and take out the board forwards up. Note: To ensure that the tube power amplifier is at the accurate position while assembling or disassembling the board, install the screws fastening the board and the amplifier before welding the amplifier.
