Page 5 Inserting a SIM Card Firstly remove the 14 screws on the rear of the Use pin to firmly press on SIM eject button. This is antenna enclosure using a Phillips screwdriver. located next to the SIM slot. It is not necessary to apply force to the SIM tray itself.

After fitting the SIM, we recommend testing the router is connecting to the Cell network and functioning fully. This should be done before refitting the plastic cover and mounting your Basecamp in it’s intended location. Using the pre-fitted mounting bracket This universal design comes complete with 4 x Pole Clamps at different sizes suitable for a wide range of pole sizes or different applications.

Positioning your Roam Basecamp For the best performance we always recommend mounting the Roam Basecamp as high and securely as possible. Preferably just above your vehicle’s roof line. If using in a vehicle application see our mounting options below. Alternatively the unit can be mounted to a tripod as shown right.

Page 17: Connecting To The Web User Interface
Advanced Functions and Changing Router Settings All of the settings and functionality of the Roam Basecamp router are changed using the Web User Interface. This can be accessed using a browser when your device is connected to the Roam Wi-Fi network. The Roam Basecamp router is very powerful and there are many settings in here which can be adjusted to suit your requirements.
Page 18 When accessing the Web User Interface for the first time, you will be offered the chance to use the Set Up Wizard. This can be used to set up the router’s most relevant parameters, such as changing the hotspot username and password. Competent users can navigate through other settings, however we recommend skipping the Set Up Wizard as it is not strictly necessary to change any of these settings.

Logging out of the Web User Interface Once you have finished using the Web User Interface, you should log out. We recommend doing this every time you have finished using the Web User Interface. Select ‘Log Out’ in the top right hand corner and Once you have logged out you can now close the confirm you wish to log out.

Page 26: Managing And Removing Wi-Fi Connections
Managing and Removing Wi-Fi Connections Navigate to ‘Network’ and then ‘Wireless’. From here, you can then view and manage the most recent WiFi connection listed under the Wireless Station Mode heading. 3. My phone is connected to the Roam Basecamp but I don’t have any phone signal? The Roam Basecamp creates a WiFi hotspot which can be used to provide a Wi-Fi connection to your device. This means it can be used for all features on your device that use an internet connection.
Page 33 8. Is there an easier way to change the settings for my router? Most router functionality can be controlled using the Teltonika App. 9. Why do I lose connection to my Roam Basecamp when I move in or out of range of the Wi-Fi source my Roam Basecamp is using? The Roam Basecamp will automatically detect and connect to the WiFi source you have set up in the Web User Interface.
