- Page 5 SATELLITE FOOTPRINT ASTRA 2D ASTRA SOUTH INFORMATION - UK The footprint of a satellite is the ground area where the signal is available and determines the satellite dish size required to receive each transponder’s signal. The footprints below show areas in which this 37cm dish can receive signals when used with a compatible satellite receiver.

Mountains, buildings, trees, telephone poles, etc. can all block the satellite signal from reaching the dish. 1. Determine your elevation from the zone map on the reverse of this set up instructions booklet. Note: The Wireless Remote Control has a keypad.
- Page 11 IMPORTANT 4. You must watch the TV for signal strength while rotating the antenna in step 4. See your Set Top Box owner’s manual to determine how to display the satellite signal strength screen on your TV. When pressing the left and right arrows, the remote will continuously beep with a short pause in between: beep - beep - beep… If the unit reaches its rotational limit in either direction, the remote will display REVERSE DIRECTION and beep rapidly: beep beep beep...
- Page 12 GUIDELINES FOR SKY® DIGITAL SATELLITE RECEPTION To align the satellite dish to the Astra 2 satellite, use the SIGNAL TEST menu built into the SKY® digibox. To access this menu you will first have to press the SERVICES button on the remote control. In the SERVICES menu you will then need to access the SYSTEM SET UP (number 4) and the SIGNAL TEST (number 6).
