Install suitable handrail-type protections at all accesses to the shaft to prevent people from falling into it. Check that there is a hook or metal beam withstanding at least 1,000 kg centred on the ceiling of the shaft. This suspension element shall be marked with the maximum load.

Inspection of the shaft Check. - The shaft may only be used to run the lift and must be totally closed by means of walls, floor and roof. The finishing must be flat, without any protrusions and with tilt angles of less than 1/1000.

As an alternative the hydraulic unit and the board may be installed inside an enclosed space which is dedicated exclusively for the machinery of the lifting platform.

STRUCTURE ASSEMBLY (optional) Optionally, an structure consisting of several sections of side members, crossbeams and enclosure panels is available. Each of the sections is made up of four side members of different types, depending on the layout of the accesses. The side members of the lower and upper section are parametric in length, while the middle section side members, if required, are 2950 mm long.

Assemble the stiffeners in the nodes, screwing them to the crossbeams and to the connection pieces welded to the side members.

The layout of the accesses must be taken into account when selecting the type of side member for each corner, which may be of a different type to that of the lower section.

It is necessary to fix the upper part of the structure to the building.

In the first case, which is called "non-pre- assembled guide rail", the calibrated guide rails are supplied loose, and their fixing to the shaft would be similar to that of a regular lift.

Connection plate 4 Guide rail fixtures are provided on all floor edges and 100 mm from the upper end of the guide rails.

Position the support half- adjusted in relation to the bracket and tighten the screws on the top supports. 7 For wall mounting, use the supports as a template to drill a Ø14 hole in the wall and secure the supports with a M10x70 screw anchor.

For the 2:1 model, remove the roller protections, remove one of the roller levers and insert the roller of the other lever in the safety gear block.

In order to do so, unscrew the closing case using an articulated torque wrench 90/155. Remove the case being careful so that the O-ring is not damaged. If the case should need to be left on the floor o on any other support, protect the threading against impact and dents.

Bear in mind that one fixation is required at each end of the cylinder guide. 25 Install the cylinder guide on the supports and the supports on the crossbeams with M6x12 bolts and nuts.

The guide will be fixed to the pit framework, to the intermediate slabsl between levels and to the shaft ceiling.

Screw to the other guiding joint upper fixings on the guiding (M8x25), nut and grower washer, plumb the upper section and fix with the M10x113 ø10 threaded anchorage.

Hydraulic connection 1 Install the return filter on the valve block. 2 Screw the straight end of the flexible pipe to the output of the return filter; remove and discard the ring and the nut of the connection piece.

Vertical cables between stops At the upper landing, mount the DSE10 and DPE10 panels as shown and connect them to each other with the flat cables featuring a suitable length. If there are two landing doors on the upper level, one more panel must be mounted for each door. Attach the cables W703, W700, W842 and W841 of suitable length with the hinged landing door option at the height of the lintel of the upper landing door.

If there are two landing doors on this level, one more panel must be mounted for each door. 6 Attach the cables W703, W700, W842 and W841 of suitable length with the hinged landing door option at the height of the lintel of the lower landing door.

Upper limit switch 1 Install the actuator of the final limit switch on the upper part of the car with M6x16 biaseled ring bolts, on the opposite side to the entrance or on the right hand side in case of cars with double entrances.

Plug the CE9 connector of the MG9M cable into the lock connector and the other end into the DSE10 panel. Insert the wires of the W843 cable into poles 2 and 3 of the CE9 connector and the other end into the X843 connector of the W842 cable.

Automatic operator for swing landing door (optional) Two types of automatic swing landing door operator are available; integrated in the lintel (Ceitamatic) or external (Dormakaba ED100). Automatic operator integrated in the lintel 1 Fit the operator to the lintel and the arm to the top of the door using the flanges supplied, bearing in mind the opening direction.

  • Page 48 IM-540en ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Vers. 21 Passenger Lifting Platform DH Page 46 3 Remove the operator from its base. 4 Fix the base to the door lintel. 5 Screw the lower bolt into the bottom of the base. 6 Connect the power supply cable to the terminal block of the base. 7 Pass the terminal block cable and the opening signal cable through the housing and reassemble the operator to its base by tightening the 8 operator screws.
  • Page 49 IM-540en ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Vers. 21 Passenger Lifting Platform DH Page 47 10 Assemble the slide elements while respecting the marked order of the different parts. 11 Fix the slide to the door leaf. 12 To fit the arm, its axis must be in the “zero” position. To do so, tension the door closer spring 10 turns. Then release it again until a stop is found, so that the arm can be fitted without tension.

Then fix this arm to the slide bolt and to the operator axis.

Blocking device final limit switch, alarm module, pit stop and safety cable Fix the limit switch of the locking device on the guide rail side and plug it into the X741 connector of the W741 cable. ASSEMBLY OF THE STRUCTURE'S INTERIOR PANELS (optional) In case the structure is supplied and there are no car doors, it is necessary for the interior faces of the structure attached to the entrances to be vertical, continuous, solid and without protrusions throughout the free passage.

Side panels 1 Place the panels on the M6x20 hex-head screws of the floor, leaving them loose. 2 Join panels together using hex. M6x20 bolts. With non-galvanised sheet walls, assemble the skirting boards on their panels.

Side entrance panels Without car doors 1 Connect the appropriate cable to each light curtain before installing them on the side entrance panels. Install the light curtains and the deflectors on the side entrance panels with ULS M4x20. Pay attention and install the receiver of the light curtain on the side of the column, as shown in the figure.
