WMS Plug receiver power
The WMS Plug receiver power is used to simply and
conveniently retrofit a wireless remote control for radiant
heaters and lighting equipment.
Intended use
The WMS Plug receiver power was developed to control
WAREMA radiant heaters and lighting equipment. The
approval of the manufacturer must be obtained for uses
outside of the purposes listed in these instructions.
Safety instructions
W
ARNING
The electrical installation (assembly)/
dismantling must be performed by a certi-
fied electrician in accordance with VDE
0100 and/or with the standards and legal
requirements of the country in which the
device is being installed. The electrician
must observe the installation instructions
included with the electrical devices sup-
plied.
W
ARNING
If hazard-free operation cannot be
assumed, the device may not be commis-
sioned or must be decommissioned. This
assumption is justified if
The housing or the supply lines show
signs of damage
The device is no longer working.
W
ARNING
Switch off the supply voltage of the WMS
Plug receiver power when you perform
activities on products connected to the
plug receiver or on connected lighting
equipment. Danger of electric shock.

W
ARNING
Danger of fire from automatic switch-on
when operating end devices such as radi-
ant heaters or light. Only operate these
devices while someone is present and be
sure to adhere to the following:
In order to operate a radiant heater, the
WMS Plug receiver power must not be
switched using automatic functions. Do
not activate automatic functions for end
devices like the radiant heater.
Never program time switching commands
on the WMS Plug receiver power for radi-
ant heaters or similar devices (e.g. on a
WMS Central transmitter).
Deactivate all automatic and time switch-
ing functions for the sun shading products
in the immediate vicinity of the WAREMA
radiant heater. If a sun shading product
moves into the heating area of the radiant
heater, this can result in property damage
or fire.
C
AUTION
Never activate buttons on your transmitter
arbitrarily without visual contact to the end
device. Children must not play with this prod-
uct – remote controls or transmitters must
not get into the hands of children!
The range of radio controls is restricted by legal regula-
tions for radio systems and through structural factors.
Adequate radio reception must be ensured when plan-
ning the project. This applies especially if the radio signal
must penetrate through walls and ceilings. The control unit
should not be installed in the immediate vicinity of metal
components (steel beams, steel-reinforced concrete, fire
door).
When mounting the plug receiver behind a metal panel:
Mount the plug receiver such that the side of the housing
with the printed radio waves symbol
of the panel. This ensures the best possible radio recep-
tion.
Therefore, check that the receiver is functioning prop-
erly before the final installation.
Strong local transmitter systems (e.g. WLAN) with trans-
mission frequencies identical to those of the control
system may interfere with reception.
