Measure the external diameter of the paper core for the new substrate. Loosen the screw, match the value measured by the top edge sensor to the external diameter of the paper core, and then tighten the screw.

Place the substrate on the shaft, and then push it into the press until it presses lightly against the magnetic bar. Turn the knob on the feed shaft clockwise to tighten the substrate.
