Use Your Camera with an NVR
The camera works with a network video recorder (NVR) for easier batch access and management. Here we use a Tapo NVR as an example. If you use the camera with other NVR brands, please
refer to their User Manual.

Manage Your Camera
You can also access and manage your cameras via any of the methods below.
App Management
Remotely view live video, manage cameras, and get instant alerts.
Step 1 Download App
Download and install the Tapo app. Open the app and log in with your
TP-Link ID. If you don't have an account, sign up first.
Step 2 Power Up
Make sure your camera is powered on. You can use a power adapter or
connect it with the provided PoE Ethernet cable.
*When using a power adapter, you'll still need an Ethernet cable for
network connection.
Step 3 Set Up
Tap the
button > Add Device in the app and select your model.
Follow the app instructions to set up and manage your camera.

Unfasten the two fixed screws to remove the cover. Insert a microSD card (not provided) for local storage.
Remove the cover and use a pin to press and hold the Reset button for 5s to reset camera.

Step 1
Connect your camera to the PoE port of the NVR (not included) with the provided PoE Ethernet cable.
* If your camera is connected with a non-PoE Ethernet cable, use a power adapter to power it on. Make sure your power
supply matches your camera. The camera's standard power supply is 12V DC or PoE (802.3af/at). The power source should
comply with Power Source Class 2 (PS2) or Limited Power Source (LPS) of IEC 62368-1.

Step 2
Connect the NVR as shown in the diagram, and open the monitor.
Step 3
Make sure your NVR is working properly, and add your cameras using the following methods.
A. If Plug and Play is enabled on your NVR, you can just stay on the Live View screen for the NVR to
automatically add your cameras.
B. If Plug and Play is disabled on your NVR, right click on the Live View screen and click Add Camera.
