2 ZapAI
ZapAI is the artificial Intelligence based chatbot on our website home page. It tries to answer
your question based on the thousands of questions we have already answered and the
knowledge database from our website. It's not as good as a human response but it is available
24x7. Give it a try. On our website click on the image that looks like this orange blurb. After
you type your question, give it about 30 seconds to think.

Since we launched ZapperBox in July 2022, we have developed an extensive list of useful

4 Video Tutorials
We have created an extensive list of video tutorials showing you how to use various
features of the ZapperBox. This is our primary method for instructing users on how to
use the complex Tuner/DVR/Gateway software used by ZapperBox. Please scan the QR
code on the right with your phone camera to see the full list of tutorial videos.

ZapperBox software is constantly being updated as the ATSC 3.0 standard is new. We
release several new feature updates each year. We send out email updates when we

  • Page 2 3. Plug the power supply into an electrical outlet and connect the power jack into the rear socket marked DC. 4. You should see a ZapperBox logo on the TV screen. This will be followed by a Dolby Atmos logo and the first-time setup screens.

  • Page 3: Remote Control

    8.3 DVR Invokes the DVR menu system. This menu allows you to select other ZapperBox gateway devices and play back the recordings from these devices. Playing back recordings from remote devices requires the 14-day guide data subscription.
  • Page 4 This is a USB 2.0 socket. It can be used to add external storage like an SSD or a hard disk drive. At this time the ZapperBox M3 cannot use external storage since it is not a DVR. However, in the future, we may enable this to allow M3 to manage its own recordings.
  • Page 5 ZapperBox. We frequently ask for this number when providing support. Number of Tuners: This is the number of tuners in your ZapperBox. It will always be zero for the M3. Secure Content: also called DRM or Encrypted Channels. Enabled means that your box has been provisioned to view, record and playback encrypted channels.
  • Page 6 Guide Subscription: The ZapperBox M3 does not have its own guide subscription. It gets subscription data from another M1 or M2 unit in the home. Remaining items: The remaining items below the horizontal line are really for ZapperBox internal documentation and not important for viewers.
