HOW TO INSTALL THE FREE GAMES

NOTE: THIS PROCESS SHOULD BE PERFORMED AFTER INITIAL SETUP. IT COULD TAKE 5 MINUTES. IF THE POWER IS LESS THAN 20%, PLEASE CONNECT THE CHARGER. IN THE PROCESS OF RESTARTING THE SYSTEM, IF THE TABLET SHUTS DOWN, IT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO INSTALL ALL THE APPS.

  1. Go to the Settings menu, select "Accessibility".
  2. Turn on the switch of the option "Install apps".
  3. Select "YES", this will restart your Android system, all apps will also be installed to your device.
  4. Wait about 5 minutes, all the learning and game apps will be installed completely.

Important Tips

  1. Please fully discharge and charge the first cycle of the battery.
  2. Always use the tablet in room temperature, if use it in freezing temperature, battery may only last 1 hour and you need to put it in room to power it on.
  3. Always use original charger comes with the package.
  4. If the tablet isn't used for long me and the battery is completely exhausted, it will fall into sleep mode and you would need to charge it over 30 minutes in order to have it acvtiated.

Product Care

Micro SD Card Slot
The tablet contains a Micro SD memory card slot. The Micro SD memory card is sold separately. Most software applications (apps) require to be installed on internal memory, so use the external memory to store music photos, movies, files, or other data. The memory card slot will read most SD Cards and is rated at 32GB. If you have a larger memory card you wish to use, format a format a 32GB partition (FAT32 format) to allow operation on the tablet. We recommend purchasing a memory card with a good brand reputation to help ensure compatibility.

Charging
Use the included USB cable and AC Adaptor to charge the tablet. If the cable becomes damaged or lost, you can order a replacement cable or charger from the manufacturer. Using a third party cable may void the warranty. It is not recommended to leave the battery charging for more than 8 hours. Do not use the charger in a wet or humid environment. Only charge the tablet in a safe environment.

Inial Setup
After the tablet has been fully charged, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until you see the Contixo logo appear. The tablet will power on and begin an inial start up sequence. Rest assured, that fter all the inial steps are completed the start up process will become much faster.

  1. Click the "Vision setting" button in the lower le corner. You can customize this device according to your needs. These accessibility features can be changed later in settings. These accessibility features can be changed at any me. After the setup is completed, click the " " at the boom.

  5. Set the Date & Time, then click "Next".
  6. Click "MORE", and then click "ACCEPT".

  7. Create passcode or select "Skip" and set it later.

  9. Wait a few seconds to get into the desktop.

Software Overview

The tablet hardware has been designed to meet the software requirements of all preinstalled software. After the inial setup, the tablet will run all apps smoothly. Running certain apps not associated with Kids Place can cause slowness. (See hardware features and specs). Contixo tablets utilize an Android operating system that specializes in Google services. Some experience is helpful with google services and may have been experienced through a smart phone that also utilizes Android OS, but no previous experience is necessary. Just refer to common guidelines regarding Google services to stay up to date. There are many preinstalled apps, some may require additional services to work properly.

Power On/Off
Holding the power button will turn the tablet on. To put the tablet in sleep mode, press and release the power button. Sleep mode is best if you will turn the device on again soon. To power off the tablet, you must hold the power button for several seconds, then respond to the power menu screen by selecting Power off. This is the best option if the tablet will not be in use in use for more than a few days.
Power On/Off
Application process: When activating any of the application for the first me (such as KIDS PLACE or any other applications) may freeze up for up to 10 seconds. This is normal for first me application to activate. Once this process has been completed it will run at its normal speed next me around.

The navigation on the tablet has menus that can be found by swiping across from the boom or top of the screen. The recent programs can be brought up from the boom navigation bar "rectangle symbol" and be sorted through. Flipping the windows over or pressing the "X" closes the open programs.

Camera

The camera app can be accessed from both the main screen or Kids Place. A quick camera setting is possible by pressing the power button twice quickly.

Web Browsing
The tablet uses Google Chrome as a default web browser. Chrome can open different tabs to have multiple pages open. You can save pages with bookmarks or search for any content on web pages. You can watch videos, play music, and just about any other feature you like to enjoy. However many factors can play into the product performance, such as network performance, how many apps are open, how many processes are running, and load on processor. So performance can vary. If it seems like the tablet is running slow, please check our troubleshooting section on the website.
With the Kids Place you can either allow access to web surfing or block all access. You can specify what web pages are available by address. Certain features such as viewing videos on YouTube will be directed to install YouTube Kids app. There are settings to restrict more for younger children (8 years old or younger) and allow more access for older children (12 and under). These features determine the music, gaming, shows, and education sites available. However parents are always responsible for monitoring their children's activity while connected to the Internet. Tools are available for blocking or reporting inappropriate matter, or allowing search or turning off the search feature altogether. Please use this product responsibly!

Google Services — Quick Setup

  1. Wi-Fi connection required to access Google Services. First connect to a network.
  2. Sign in with an existing account or create one. You can create a new account for the child that is linked to an existing adult account; this allows the parent to be notified when changes occur or a new device is logged into.
  3. The Account Added screen provides confirmation the account has been added.
  4. additional services such as "Backup to Google Drive" can be accepted to save and preserve data (pictures and files).
  5. Sign in to Google Play Store to update existing apps or download new apps.

Control Panel Settings
The control panel settings allow the following features:

  1. Network & Internet — Change Wi-Fi settings, check your network configuration, airplane mode, or VPN (virtual private network).
  2. Connected Devices — USB (Charge phone, transfer files, etc.), Pair new device, turn on Bluetooth.
  3. Apps & Nofications — Set permissions & default apps.
  4. Battery — Set power saving modes.
  5. Display — Set brightness, wall paper, sleep timer, auto-rotate screen, font size, display size.
  6. Sound — Set volume level or do not disturb.
  7. Storage — Hard drive information.
  8. Security & Location — Google features Google features to help protect or find the device.
  9. Users & accounts — Adding and modifying accounts.
  10. Accessibility — Set screen readers, display, interaction, controls.
  11. Google — Set services & preferences.
  12. System — Set languages, me, backup, updates.

Setting Up Kids Place

Kids Place offers parental controls to ensure the proper kind of experience is provided for children's use. Here we will walk you through the steps to help setup your Contixo Kids Tablet before your child's first use. We recommend Kids Place to be enabled and if the parent's need to make adjustments they will need to enter a PIN to make changes to tablet's behavior. The tablet should be updated as the child progresses, installing apps that are age appropriate. Also note the Google Play Store may make changes to the app while the tablet is connected to the Internet.

Tips

  1. When setting up your Parental control ( tap Kids Place app in the menu) and depending on your final Parent control setting this may reduce the tablet speed.
  2. When you are interacting YouTube Kids app, you may have to update Google Play services by following the instruction menus to complete this process.

Bring up the All Apps screen by swiping from the boom of the screen upward, and the menu will drag up from the bottom.

  1. Tap Kids Place app in the menu.
  2. Click/Tap on "GET STARTED" after viewing license agreement (EULA).
  3. Create your 4 digit PIN and select "UPDATE PIN".

  6. Enter your email address and click/tap "SIGN IN" button.

  1. Click/Tap the right side button, open the permit usage access.

    Note: This will lock the Android device so that your child only stays within Kids Place and can only use the apps allowed within it.

    Note: Selected app (with check mark) will show up as approved app for kids on the Kids Place home screen. Scroll right for more apps to choose.

  1. Select the source of the video you want to add.
    Note: Selected video will show up as approved video for kids on the Kids Video Player.

  1. Click/Tab "Safe Browser" button.
  1. Click/Tab "ACCEPT & CONTINUE" button.
  1. Click/Tab "SET UP" button.
  1. Click/Tap the login method you want and continue.
  1. Enter the website you allow your child to visit.
    Note: Selected website will show up as approved website for kids on the Safe Browser.
  1. Click/Tab "EXIT" button.
  2. Enter PIN.

Note: If you forget your PIN go to http://www.kiddoware.com/forgotpin.php to retrieve.


Click/Tap The Kids Place icon on the Parent Mode home screen to return to Kids Place Mode.

Manage Available Apps
You can edit your available apps by using the Parents settings and selecting or unselecting apps.

  1. To modify apps, click/tap " " and then click/tap "Settings".
  2. Enter PIN.
  3. Click/Tap "Manage Apps".
  4. Click/Tab an app to select/deselect and tap on " " button.

Setting Time (Professional Version only)

  1. Click/Tap "Timer".
  2. Select a timer mode option and then press "APPLY" button.

Manage User

  1. Click/Tap "Manage User".
  2. To edit an user, long press the user's icon. To add a new user, click/tap " ".

Connecting to a Computer

  1. Connect to your computer by USB.
    You MUST be in Parent mode in order to connect with your computer devices.

  2. Pull down the menu from the left top of the screen, click/tab "USB charging this device".
  3. Select "Transfer files".

Your device/disk name will appear as K101A on your computer. You can now transfer or backup files from the tablet to a computer.

Factory Reset

  1. Click/Tap settings, Select "System".
  2. Select "Reset options".
  3. Select "Erase all data (factory reset)".
  4. Select "Erase all data".
  5. Select "Erase all data".
    Wait unl Factory Reset/Reboot function has completed before pressing any new commands.

Why is your tablet slow or frozen?
You may need to either close some of your open applications or games to allow more memory to become available on your tablet. Follow below steps to close the APPs.

  1. Click/Tab " " button.
  2. Hold down the APP you want to end and move to end it.

Safety Precautions

Make sure to charge the battery fully before operating. It is best to charge for about 6 hours during the first three charging cycles to ensure best battery life.

  • Do not store the device in places with high room temperature, humidity, or dust.
  • Do not drop the product. Avoid any type of strong impact. The protective cover is designed to help protect against scratches, not impact.
  • Do not expose to liquid or water.
  • Do not clean with alcohol based products in order to protect the screen.
  • Always use an appropriate volume setting. Ensure headphone or other peripheral devices are set properly.
  • Do not disassemble the product or accessories. Doing so will void the warranty.
  • Do not drive while using this product.
  • Obey all laws and regulations when using the device.
