Managing the Files
When ripping CDs to computer or USB Drive, final files are in. WAV format and without tags. We recommend following steps to manage your files:
- Convert the files into. FLAC format
- Tag the files
Converting files to. FLAC will assure wide compatibility with playback and tagging software. There are many apps for Windows and Mac that offer file conversion, most popular music playback software also have it included. Our often used app is the free MediaHuman Audio converter.
For file tagging, we recommend using dedicated music tagging software, which can automatically identify your ripped albums and download needed tags. Two favourites of ours are MusicBranz Picard and mp3Tag.
