The KNX converter WMS is a flush-mounted device that
enables the control of up to 25 WMS receivers.
Program parameters, scenarios and safety objects
can be configured in the Engineering Tool Software.
Commissioning is carried out via the WMS studio pro PC
software and the Engineering Tool Software. For the KNX
converter, the WMS side needs to be commissioned first
followed by the KNX side with the Engineering Tool Soft-
ware.
Several KNX converter WMS may be used in one project.
The device is KNX secure compatible. A device certifi-
cate (preset key at the factory) is required for this. This is
located on the base of the device as a sticker and is also
included as a device card.
Store the device card separately and also remove
the sticker from the device to ensure maximum
security.
The device certificate is unique to each device and cannot
be changed or deleted.
Recovery of the device certificate is NOT possible in the
event of loss!

Safety instructions
These instructions address persons installing, wiring or
connecting the KNX converter WMS and all necessary
parts. Please contact your specialised retailer if you need
any additional information.
Due to both the legal regulations for radio systems and
structural factors, the operating range of radio remote
controls is limited. Sufficient radio reception must be
ensured when planning the project. This is especially the
case where the radio signal has to pass through walls and
ceilings. The control should not be installed in the immedi-
ate vicinity of metal components (steel beams, reinforced
concrete, fire doors).
Therefore, check that the receiver is functioning proper-
ly before the final installation.
Strong local transmitter systems (e.g. WLAN) with trans-
mission frequencies identical to those of the control may
interfere with reception.
Installation
The device is designed for installation in a flush-mount-
ed junction box 80 x 80 mm. The space in a 60 mm
flush-mounted switch box is usually not sufficient.
Only lines that are used for the wiring of the KNX con-
verter WMS should be routed into this box.
Install the KNX converter WMS in such a way that the
bottom of the housing with the radio waves symbol
printed on the label points towards the opening of the
box.
This ensures the best possible radio reception.
Check that the KNX converter WMS is functioning prop-
erly before the final installation.
