This instrument is designed for observation of various types of three dimensional specimens such as plants, insects, electronics, gems or jewelry, coins and stamps, etc. Before using please remove all protective packaging from your microscope.
- Page 3 in the left eyepiece is unclear, adjust the diopter ring until the image is as clear as the right eyepiece. Adjust the left and right eyepiece tubes to the correct interpupillary distance for the operator. Models SMP-13 and SMP-24: the three position power switch controls the illumination.
- Page 4 touch the halogen bulb with bare hands. Body oils may damage the bulb. Wear gloves or use tissue to hold the bulb. 1) In the lamp nose (top light): unscrew the bulb housing from neck and pull out & replace bulb. 2) Under the stage plate (SMP Models only): slide stage clips aside to remove the stage plate to access the bulb.
