I own the TZ99. I don’t know how to activate the digital zoom, only optical zoom. So 720mm is the equivalent of 30x, which is the optical zoom. How do I enable to digital zoom to reach the advertised 60X?

To activate digital zoom on the Panasonic Lumix DC-TZ99 and reach up to 60x zoom:

1. Set [Picture Size] to a smaller size (with [ ] symbol) to enable Extra Optical Zoom, which increases zoom up to 59.2x.
2. Go to the [Rec] or [Motion Picture] menu.
3. Set [Digital Zoom] to [ON] to enable up to 4x digital zoom.
4. Optionally, set [i.Zoom] to [ON] to use intelligent resolution for better quality at higher zoom levels.

Note: Using [Digital Zoom] may reduce picture quality.
