Instructions For Use

ONLY FILL THE WATER CHAMBER WITH DISTILLED WATER. NEVER ADD OILS, SALTS, OR OTHER ADDITIVES TO THE WATER CHAMBER.

Carefully remove all contents from the packaging and inspect the product to make sure all components have been received. (Fig. 1)
Fill the provided measuring cup with distilled water to the max fill line (170mL/5.7oz) (Fig. 2). When filled to the maximum fill, steam will last approximately 17 minutes. After water runs out, appliance will automatically shut off for safety. If you choose to steam longer, add more distilled water and turn appliance on. DO NOT FILL PAST THE MAX FILL LINE.
Turn water chamber cap to the left and remove. Pour the distilled water into the distilled water chamber (Fig. 3). Push cap back into place.
NOTE: DO NOT turn unit on before you put the water chamber cap back on. NEVER run unit with the cap off.
Press the on/off button to turn the unit on (Fig. 4). A red LED will glow to indicate the unit is on. Steam should form in approximately 3-4 minutes with the quick heat-up function.
Adjust the steam spout to the angle that is most comfortable. (Fig. 5).
Position your face in the path of the steam (Fig. 6). Relax and close your eyes. If you feel any discomfort or excessive heat, move your face away from the spout to a comfortable distance.
When finished with your steam facial press the on/off button to turn the unit off.
NOTE: If the unit runs out of distilled water the unit will automatically turn off to ensure your safety.

Maintenance

TO STORE
Place in a convenient, dry location or in box, out of children's reach. Wrap the power cord around the cord storage located on the bottom of the unit (Fig 7). Do not hang the unit by the power cord.

TO CLEAN
Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet and let cool before cleaning.

Empty excess water by tipping unit forward and pouring out the adjustable steam spout. NOTE: You cannot empty water through the distilled water chamber. Or, you may choose to run the appliance until all water is evaporated.
Wipe the base with a clean damp cloth, then polish it lightly with a dry one. Never immerse the unit.
Do not immerse the base in any liquid to clean.
Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene, glass/furniture polish or paint thinner to clean.
Do not attempt to repair the unit. There are no user serviceable parts. For service, send the unit to the HoMedics address listed in the warranty section.

Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on or near children, invalids, or disabled persons.
DO NOT operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged or dropped into water. Return the product to HoMedics Service Center for examination and repair.
Keep cord away from heated surfaces. DO NOT wrap the cord around the appliance.
An appliance should NEVER be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, before filling product with water, and before emptying water from product.
DO NOT operate under blanket or pillow.
DO NOT carry this appliance by supply cord or use cord as a handle.
NEVER operate the appliance with the air openings blocked or place it on a soft surface such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair and the like.
NEVER drop or insert any object into any opening.
DO NOT use outdoors.
NEVER use while sleeping.
DO NOT operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position, then remove the plug from outlet.
Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. DO NOT use attachments not recommended by HoMedics.
This appliance is designed for personal, non-professional use only. This appliance should be used only for personal, non-professional uses.
Unplug this appliance before filling. Fill (reservoir) with distilled water only. DO NOT over fill.
Use facial steamer only on a level surface.
DO NOT use additives.
NEVER hold this facial steamer close to your face in one position as this may cause scalding.

DO NOT reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.

We recommend using this unit for no longer than 20 minutes at a time. Extensive use could cause the product to overheat. Should this occur, discontinue use and allow the unit to cool before operating.
NEVER use on open wounds, discolored areas, or any area of the body that is swollen, burned, inflamed or where skin eruptions or sores are present.
Use of this product should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain or discomfort result, discontinue use and consult your physician.
NEVER use while sleeping or drowsy.
Always unplug the unit when filling or moving the unit.
Ensure that your hands are dry when operating the controls or removing the plug.
This product should NEVER be used by any individual suffering from any ailments that would limit the user's capacity to operate the controls.

To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
